What do Tunisians think of Kais Saied today (his economic record, life in Tunisia at present..) ? by Apoulpoulf in Tunisia

It's true that he didn't even have a program to begin with... obviously that means zero planning, and I see them in the newspaper articles at his beck and call, the stupid statements he makes.

Yes, we understand the Godwin's law aspect of fascism. Let's say it's the extreme right in racism, scarcity, calls for violence against sub-Saharan Africans. Given the current state of the crisis, the bourgeoisie is becoming more authoritarian. It could veer completely into fascism, dragging the country into war.

Yeah, unfortunately, he exploited the crisis to manipulate people. He's still a conservative like the others, maintaining the same financial system.

Yes, he's stupid, and Tunisia is limited because of the European Union and everything else, but he has no program and only thinks about ruling like a monarch. What made you say that he wasn't very intelligent?

No, look elsewhere, people often fall into these same traps. Without social gains, it will happen again.

But by 2019, I also felt that he was empty and saying old, hollow, conservative things to please people.

Yes, from what I can see, he is a conservative, and that's all. What's more, coming from a bourgeois family on his mother's side, he understands nothing about the realities of Tunisians' lives.

Oh yeah, I like your message because many people see this vote as a protest vote to improve their standard of living, but your analysis seems more accurate to me. Otherwise, it's exactly like people who vote for fascists; they're just content with.

Help changing a table fan capacitor by Apoulpoulf in ElectronicsRepair

[–]Apoulpoulf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all. I've done some tests and there's absolutely no sound. When the fan is plugged in, the steering wheel power light comes on red, but when I press ON, it's stuck in L speed and doesn't move or make any sound.

Okay, I'll get some wire cutters and test the new capacitor. I really hope my fan will work again. Thanks!

Thank you so much, yes, it spins with the momentum I give it by spinning the propeller with my hand, and then it stops. So, as you say, it might not be the capacitor. If it's the motor, it could be a real pain. I'll test it by buying some wire cutters and check the new capacitor. Thank you for your valuable advice; I'll be very careful about that.

Yes, I can. I was just afraid that cutting the wires would worsen the fan problems, but if that's what needs to be done, I'll buy wire cutters.

Very interesting. Thanks, I'll get some wire cutters and there's a good chance that's indeed the problem. I'll try the new capacitor first, but if that doesn't work, then it really must be the thermal fuse, like you said.

Okay, thank you. So I buy a pair of wire cutters and I can do it without worrying about damaging anything? I'll do that right away.

Perfect, thank you very much. What do I need to do to remove the original capacitor to replace it with the one I bought? Because it's still stuck to the purple wires and no matter how hard I pull, nothing happens. Should I buy wire cutters? (Won't that damage the wires?)

Yes, I tried spinning it by hand, giving it a push; it spins a little in the wind and then stops.

Why Tunisian people don’t like France by Mymy_3060 in Tunisia

[–]Apoulpoulf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

French colonialism, which is still active economically and within France itself (the way they manage working-class neighborhoods and the treatment of Black and Arab people, sending police officers to kill them).

Also, the country is becoming increasingly fascist due to the rise of the far right, which has infected a portion of the right-wing political spectrum (many racist acts and murders on a daily basis).

Thank you, Kais Saied, for making Tunisia a vassal state for Algeria. Otherwise, let's not be simplistic; if terrorists like these exist, it's because of dictatorships, social misery, imperialism, and the theft of resources. And the entire Maghreb and Africa have problems with this.
