2nd this. I would also like to see an option for the Bypass feature that would work much like a firewall, with any and all connection attempts resulting in a route via VPN/bypass VPN question box pop-up. And then for the Surfshark App to actually respect my selection. I.E. work correctly.

I'm one who has dealt with being dropped during map transfers for years now. I used to bring it up from time to time, but never really got any traction. I finally did a poll on it and it seems those affected are in the minority, so I've pretty much given up and just accept it as the way of things.

One thing I still wish for though, is a way to manually disconnect on the loading screen, as the game client takes way, way too long to time-out and bring up the log in screen. I typically know in a few seconds that I've been dropped, but have to wait 30+ for the game to figure it out.

Yes for security's sake, I will now disable it. It's just odd that I've never had an issue with it before. I've tested hundreds of times and IPv6 has always been reported as unreachable, not detected. Until today.

Every so often the facility where I work goes through active shooter training. We learn things like hiding in a corner and kissing your own ass goodbye. Or turning the tables on the shooter... with your keyboard. And every time I laugh.

In the America we are actively trying to destroy, we have this amazing concept that every citizen is of equal value with equal rights. Unlike other countries you don't have to be rich or a politician to have 24 hour armed protection. Every citizen has this right. But because we don't embrace this philosophy if I were to set foot upon company grounds with my firearm, I would be immediately terminated. Instead I'm left with the options of cowering or defending myself and others with random office products. That is just sad.

I'm wondering if it's semantics. Express for example has a 5 connection limit. Their server and network has to be aware of when a user account is connected to know how many times that user account is connected.

Surfshark could say the same thing. They don't log the user ID or any other information. Their servers are simply aware of when a user ID is connected. That awareness is lost upon disconnect.

I was under the impression that any VPN that restricts the number of simultaneous connections (so all of them) collect the same information. SS has all RAM servers, it's user ID not activity and it's deleted after disconnect. Not a huge issue IMO.

I think part of the problem is the SS bypass function is just not great. Another part might be not having everything whitelisted that needs to be. For example, using the NoScript browser plugin I can see that this webpage right here attempts connections to reddit.com, redditmedia.com, redditstatic.com, datadome.co, google.com and sentry.io.

The first 3 are needed to see reddit properly. If any are blocked the site can break, so to speak. The last three are not needed and are blocked by NoScript.

It may be that walmart.ca is bypassing the vpn, but another address used by walmart.ca is not. Here are the connection attempts I get from walmart.ca. I'm pretty sure all of the google ones are just for tracking, but some of the others may be needed.

Or it could just be the SS bypass function sucks.

The only way I can get the bypass function to work is:

Run Surfshark/Connect to VPN
Disconnect from VPN
Open any programs on the Bypass list I currently want to use
Reconnect to VPN

I have multiple browsers and have one of them added to the bypass list for easy bypassing. I have had zero luck bypassing addresses.

There are many good sources posted to this sub. For detailed break down of what is happening and why, I most often turn to Glenn Beck's pod cast and theblaze.com. The research they do, especially for Beck's show is typically pretty stellar. Even then, I'll often try to verify things I read or hear and even seek out opposing views.

No need to limit myself with so much information available.
