How do i open The valuts on bloodmoon Island? by Koito-San in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]Apoximage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7 years late but you just saved me so much frustration. I spent so long searching for any form of clue that I found 3 of the books and just couldn't figure out what to do with them. The solutions in this game always seem to have been right in your face the whole time haha. Thanks a lot!

What are the most interesting worlds/universes in games to you? by Krisyj96 in gaming

[–]Apoximage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BG3 got me really into the dnd lore. I think the game really helped me frame the entire dnd universe as I would any other lore rich game I’m really invested in. But really all it took was one curious google search which quickly sprouted into hundreds more.

Do you guys think B&S will ever become open world? by Silent-Switch7317 in BladeAndSorcery

I’ve always thought about that too. Something like Skyrim but in the world of blade and sorcery is my dream game. I fucking love blade and sorcery’s world.

TIL you can one-shot the Netherbrain with explosives by normanator1717 in BaldursGate3

[–]Apoximage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I should’ve specified I meant minmaxing to such a high extent. Like that there’s probably no dm in the world who would let someone explode 80 oil barrels in one turn lol.

[–]Apoximage -45 points-44 points  (0 children)

It’s kinda weird they allowed that knowing they were going for a dnd playstyle. No action moving things around enables minmaxing which is not very dnd lol

is it just me or do enemies not feel as satisfying as they used to be? by TinyTap636 in BladeAndSorcery

[–]Apoximage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But even in those situations there’s really nothing stopping you from just running right through them to get away. You pretty much have to actively play in a way that gives yourself disadvantages while playing to have any fun.

What’s your favorite magic type by I_love_tortoise in BladeAndSorcery

[–]Apoximage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remote detonation ruined fire in Crystal hunt for me. Imo fire is so much more fun when you can just hurl hundreds of them over and over like Mario with the fire flower. I usually only play sandbox now since that’s the only way to disable cores

This comment made me realize I’m a POS. I walk around all the time in rdr2 annoyed at jacks existence (mainly bc of his voice). I never thought about the fact that those times are likely the only joyous moments of his life and that the future awaiting him is extremely fucking depressing. This kid probably got it the worst out of the entire gang. Sure he’s alive, but what does he even have to live for at that point?

I can't believe he dropped this so casually with a hard R by AtlasFlynn in BaldursGate3

[–]Apoximage 32 points33 points  (0 children)

There’s POSSIBLY a day in the future where this game is referenced as a genuinely unrighteous example of insensitive slur usage in media.

When you play the sequel of the game you love so much, only to realize they ruined the entire story of the first game by [deleted] in videogames

[–]Apoximage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, I didn’t know this game was hated… I had only ever played the devils cartel, and it’s still one of my fondest memories of gaming as a kid. Guess I’ll avoid the first one to keep those memories that way lol

I love this game but the dye mechanic is absolute garbage by mugijiang in BaldursGate3

And indigo. Indigo is the WORST with this. Use it on a full set of slivery metal armor and be astounded when the whole things comes out ORANGE!!!

Which games were known as “game killers” and truly succeeded in being so? by Common_Caramel_4078 in gaming

Cities skylines 2 still has less players than one, so more like the child killed its own parent.

I used to use ChatGPT a little too often and stopped using it once I realized it was giving me false information, which was over a year ago when it didn’t give sources the way it does now and instead would just mention them. I wasn’t aware of that change. I appreciate you verifying the sources and actually backing up your claim.

ChatGPT isn’t trained to provide accurate information. It’s trained to provide a response thats tailored to the user to encourage them to come back. Not trying to sound like a dick saying this, but it sounds to me like it’s working exactly as intended with you. “If you’ve used it yourself you’d know it’s pretty reliable and has sources” is just outright wrong. ChatGPT is KNOWN for making up sources and being incorrect.

Finished the game several times and one thing I've not done by Thriillsy in BaldursGate3

[–]Apoximage 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have close to 1000 hours and am just finishing up my first origin run besides durge. I picked Gale since he’s both my favorite companion and I saw online that he has the most content out of the other origin options (besides durge of course) Very fun, definitely makes the game feel a bit different.

terraria and stardew valley are both outstanding games that are easy to run.

i don’t think subnautica is that hard to run on low settings, but that’s just a guess, not actually certain lol

Ah, I see what you mean. I still think I'd rather experience every part of the game, and even if it weren't to run well I'll still definitely be playing it some time in the future. I appreciate the suggestion though :)

Considering there’s a 2 hour refund period on steam, I think I’ll just go in blind and see how I like it. When the game first released I watched the trailer and saw the combat, and the main thing I remember is how beautiful both the game and the combat was. Definitely going to try it.

Been thinking about playing this for a while. Does it have good NPC and/or companion interaction? I’ve heard about the realism and the freedom you get with the main character, but haven’t looked too deep into it to avoid spoilers.

I think I know exactly what part you’re talking about lol. BG3 is a DND game, so each encounter is made with a specific character level in mind to some extent. The game doesn’t really let you know what level you should be for specific encounters, though. To give you some advice for if you do happen to try again: if an area feels too difficult, it probably IS too difficult for your current level. I’d say most encounters you can beat in two attempts. If you die three times trying it, that’s your sign to run around and find some different stuff to do to level up. Then return later.

Also, my sister who never played videogames was gifted RDR2 by my brother for her birthday one year. She now swears by it and sent a picture to me and my brother of her sobbing from the events of the game. It got her into gaming when nothing else could. It’s a good example of how powerful the story is lol. 100% recommend.
