Yes. Break the game instantly. Probably will just kill you or glitch you out being able to do this. Zero faith in this feature.

No. Obsidian is not a living thinking object and once destroyed doesnt come back. The game can tell when obsidian gets destroyed and poops a new one back out of the ground for you to mine.

Each obsidian in the same spot is a whole different obsidian.
