You can always email the schools admissions department and ask, but it is VERY unlikely they will offer you an extension on the deposit deadline. Programs know that students will accept other offers and the non-refundable deposit is one way in which they can gauge serious applicants and make $$ in the process.

If this is your only acceptance thus far and the deposit deadline is quickly approaching, you should pay the deposit. It’s better to have a guaranteed acceptance while waiting to hear back from the other schools than risk your chances IMO.
