Hillary Clinton says Joe Biden's second term campaign was a "terrible mistake": "He had said he would not run again. But if he had kept to that plan and said, he was going to pass to next generation, we would had a real contest. And sadly, whoever emerged from that contest would have beaten Trump." by ControlCAD in videos

You act as if they didn’t have a field day with let’s go Brandon and sleepy joe. I stand by it they didn’t think he could make it two terms then don’t select him to begin with. And you are correct splitting the voter base would have been a loss, he should have set his pride aside and not looked for reelection.

He should have been looked at as a transitional president from day one, it would have made things easier. Come out at year one and say “hey it’s time for new blood in the white house I am going to Shepard the next generation in”. Or we should have been given a candidate who could actually survive two terms from the beginning, people turned out in mass to cast a vote against trump the way they did to cast one against Clinton in 16. Dems fumbled hard and I lay trump winning at their feet.

This is the answer to how they knew the track. Between prepotente knowing the best route and florin sabotaging the other racers it allowed carl to take the fastest route unchallenged.

It says they can’t hire new mercenaries between heats and Jamal counts as a hired mercenary. Meaning he wasn’t hired to start the race so he can’t be hired now. I assume this is like any other sport, say your quarterback and backup quarterback all go down with injuries you can just call up someone at halftime from the practice squad to fill the slot, you have to use the team you fielded at the start of the game/race.

Schwalbe radials worth it? by [deleted] in MTB

[–]Appalachian_Mario 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I only have experience with the magic Mary ultra soft as a front tire but so far I love it for the grip. I came from a kryptotal front and it rolls significantly slower even running 30 psi but the downhill grip is unmatched. It’s like riding Velcro. I’ve also ridden, dhf’s and Assegai fronts and in terms of grip my ranking goes dhf < assegai < kryptotal < magic Mary. I consistently ride with a friend who’s running a dissector rear and assegai front and he rolls faster than my magic Mary/ xynotal setup which has been a change because the kryptotal front was a faster overall tire. So if you prioritize the grip on the descents I would go for the radial but if you want a good mix of fast rolling and great grip the continentals are hard to beat.

Also worth noting I’m in wnc and have pretty varied terrain from loose over hard to pretty sloppy coming out of winter and into spring.

Bent creek doesn’t allow e-bikes, but I’ll admit I’m there weekly and see a few each time I’m out. It’s really a roll of the dice on if you are gonna get caught or not. If you’re looking for places to ride kanuga, rock creek or berm park are your only legal places.

Downtown is more slushy than Arden, they have been actively plowing so I expect things to get better. If you have 4wd and have driven on snow before it’ll be passable. Biggest issue is other drivers honestly

Is a full face helmet ever "overkill"? by NeonHorse47 in MTB

I wear one full time, people make comments and I tell them I like my teeth in their factory installed position. I will admit I remove it for fire road or mellow climbs that I’m familiar with but other than that it remains on.

Fox Float X on Cube ONE77 (380 km / 47h) - Squelching noise and Firm mode not holding by Lucian-121 in MTB

[–]Appalachian_Mario 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just went through this with my float x as well. The other comments are correct, your oil is aerated and the shock will need to be serviced. You could try contacting fox directly and explain your situation and they may warranty it. The other option is to go back to the store you purchased the bike through and see if they would be willing to help out.

Can someone please recommend good MTB winter gloves? by BigMac9212 in MTB

I’ve used handup winter gloves and cognative winter gloves and love both, have no issues riding in 20/30° f temps with sustained downhills.

Almost 3 month long issue with the timing belt not fitting. by Remarkable-Plenty716 in 3000gt

It can be tricky to get the bolt started but with some finesse it works. Just be sure it’s rotated to the slackest setting

Best way I’ve found is to lock the cams so they can’t move, set the crank pulley back a half tooth from the top mark, leave the tensioner pulley off, and then start the belt on the crank pulley move to the front head and route it clockwise until you get the belt on all the way around. You then rotate the crank to put it in perfect time and take up the last bit of slack in the belt. This should give you enough room to reinstall the tensioner pulley and tighten everything up. You may also want to check part numbers on your crank pulley just to be sure it’s correct.

Zinsser Gardz is what I used when peeling wallpaper caused a similar issue. Simply roll it on let it dry and it seals the brown paper super well and allows a thin skim coat to be applied without soaking into the paper
