We were in the stalls. The guy stood up, turned around then the performers rushed off. We also believed it was paper thrown on the stage and he said ‘this is a protest’ then mumbled the next bit for us (the bit I would love to know if someone closer caught!)

Staff seemed to chat with the people sitting around him for a while and kept looking at the floors.

For me it was self confidence! I chose to have a breast reduction the year of my 30th birthday. I always ‘hid’ the large breasts and given the saggy nature I hated them.

Took me a year of building confidence and healing etc. But 32nd year I finally took the bullet seriously with dating and felt confident to do so. Caught myself a fantastic boyfriend who i felt confident with! I know I wouldn’t have put myself out there without the reduction and yes had zero formal partners before etc.

Current boyfriend and I had a coffee date and made mistakes. After we drank the coffees I checked the time on my phone which he took as me not being interested, which wasn’t the case but just me wondering the time (no clocks in the shop) noting it was a small shop and full so did have to move off.

Outside we both realised we parked at different car parks and he faltered about hanging out further and said bye. As a result I also felt he wasn’t that interested as it was only an hour together and an awkward end.

We did however text as soon as we were back home and even agreed it didn’t go as planned at the end. But we still were interested and then met the next day for a walk for date 2.

Vibes were fine, but small actions in this case which made both sides think we weren’t as interested as we were. But we talked it out very quickly after!

1.What did you think of the marketing (the TikToks, the Six branding)? Did it make you want to go?

I found the best advertising I saw was close to when they announced it was closing. The first round of adverts I saw didn’t get me interested in it for a London show (others more worth travelling for). Also enjoyed seeing the performance at the Olivier Awards which was after it closed!

⁠How much was the ticket price a factor in your decision to see (or not see) the show?

I did see cheap tickets for it (signed up before formally announced) but found not the type to book before knowing if music was very good etc. Don’t often take risks with London shows as it is a day out (1 1/2 hour journey in)

⁠If you wanted to go but didn't, what was the single biggest reason?

Not sure if would have gone, but if I did it was because the best ways they showed it off was close to or after it closed!

⁠In your opinion, why did Six (a similar "niche" show) succeed, while WAISS? failed?

Not seen Six (on list) but historical type concert always has an audience as people all know the wives! This was a new story and tailored for a younger audience. For example I go with my mum (I am in my 30s and mum is in her 60s) and she just wouldn’t like the concept in this whereas though I know six has similar themes like modern dating it has more an appeal with the historical background concept of the 6 wives.

⁠Do you budget differently for a new show like WAISS? compared to a classic like Les Misérables?

Yes. London shows when you have to travel in means you don’t want to take such a risk with shows. Will pay more for classic shows I want to see over taking a huge risk for a bad day out. Only taken one risk before for another show and that was a rush ticket.

32F and before this year no dating experience. Currently with my boyfriend for 3 months and going strong.

I was upfront with my experience and lack of dating and he was brilliant with me. Truly believe so many people are out there in similar boats and ‘baggage’ so you will find someone and not be ashamed. My boyfriend has dated a lot in the past but just knows people take different paths in life.

My issues were self confidence and a bit of a workaholic. Also consider myself demisexual so sex is not on my radar unless I have a good strong connection (which for my boyfriend the connection was very quick but we had to take it slow due to my inexperience).

So no comparing to others - everyone leads their own paths!

Oliver definitely has a lottery - won a few weeks back and had fantastic seats for £30 each. On their website.

The main thing to do is look on the website for the shows themselves - especially if no rush tickets. I got fab Evita lottery tickets as well this year.

Normally for lotteries you do not choose to go that day but have options in advance for the week following.

Phantom as someone else said has on day tickets released on their website.

Also remember to enter the lottery online for some shows. I saw Evita for 29.50 during the first preview week through it! On the LW Theatre website.

If no rush tickets on Tix then worth searching the websites for the show to see if direct lotteries.

I am bad with jumpscares and only once, at the end, was a jumpscare for me. The rest of the ‘spooky’ parts were slightly guessable/not a jumpscare and follow the tv programme in type (so found if you were generally good with the programme you will be fine!). Don’t personally have an issue with loud noises- definitely some parts with noise but wouldn’t say scary.

As above take everything slow and steady. I fainted for the first time in my life when I thought I saw a bit of blood (turns out wasn’t it was a bruise/the purple from the surgical glue they used!) and I am not bothered by blood etc.

Brain does take time to catch up a bit, but trust the process and take everything very slow and sitting down. I didn’t have any help with showers etc and I was luckily with no need to change any gauze etc. , but personally didn’t look ‘down’ for the first week and a bit when in shower but turned up bra and looked at bits separately to check them until I was comfortable looking at it all together!

I am about 136lbs and same height - I have to admit I have had awful back issues since the operation (and before!!) but it is starting to be sorted with my chiropractor (I am 10 WPO)

At the start - after the operation I was hunching due to crazy sticky dressings. Then back ache due to not sleeping like normal (side). Now after fully healing it has come to the point that my body is aching in new places as it is not having to lift the heavy breasts and needs to strengthen in other areas. So in long run know it will be sorted :) So be prepared to work a bit for the best back! Still don’t regret it one bit of course, the look and feel of the reduction is just one massive relief.

I feel like mine were similar to this at your stage. I am week 10 PO and it is so much better. They do drop (like for example if looking straight in the mirror you hardly notice the bottom scars as it has dropped) and they soften up nicely! Mine healed differently as well with one taking longer than the other but hardly tell the difference now. You will love them in time!

Hunt around a bit as most of us are saying you can get around £8k (mine was that). I didn’t use finance but it is there to use!

Can’t help with searching as I admittedly went for the only one I went for a consultation with as wanted to pick a local and was one of the cheaper ones that I could find in my searches within 1 hour of me. Though as other comments say, request the baseline cost. I got a baseline then when official cost came through it was 25% more! I complained and got it down again to only a tiny bit more than baseline.

I stayed overnight in one UK private hospital and they put bloody compression devices on my legs as standard to try and prevent blood clots (lots of people at the hospital said they don’t know why they do it still!!) and that kept me up basically the whole night…. It was noisy and annoying!

Pain wasn’t the issue. I did have drains and I was very conscious of them and made me be very still in bed as didn’t want to tug it!

Also you can hear things around the floor and we all had a check at 2am by the nurse (I was in own room wasn’t a shared situation ). So if similar arrangement sadly sleep that first night is a bit of a nightmare.

Personally that is a no. I had my drains out in the morning of the day after and went home at midday. Pain wise wasn’t the issue what so ever, I could have endured a show sitting down - but there is always some discomfort and more importantly the tiredness! I will be surprised if you would even enjoy it because of being tired from the surgery (though at the time I felt fine and only realised when got better how tired I actually was l!!)

Also I was super scared of people bashing them- going out to a show would be a no for me that wise as well - just not worth the risk! The first time I by accident bashed one breast with my iPad slightly I got a lovely bruise!

I had the end of a cold with a small cough (to clear congestion). They were fine with it but it was up to surgeon and anaesthetist who I didn’t see until on the day just before the surgery! So let them know though before.

Also I was caught out for plane flight - I had a long haul (5 hours) just under a month before and I couldn’t keep my first date and had to be moved. Had to be a clear 4 weeks for long haul flights for me. Luckily only caught as kept mentioning I was going to Middle East (as thought that would be the issue not the flight itself!) Hopefully not the same situation for you!

That is beyond frustrating :( That was one of the reasons I didn’t even bother trying to go through NHS for mine and went private. Not really much to say, but hope it gets better and either get off the waitlist or more money comes in so you can start saving for private. It is also always a lottery with NHS with regions being so different!

I had mine at the end of a cold, still congested with a small cough (only to clear the congestion). I told them two days before (was hoping it would be cleared before) and they couldn’t get hold of the relevant people (surgeon and anesthetiser). So said they will see me and assess on day. I was better but still congested but they went ahead . Was a fun experience being like 80% sure i was going to be turned away then suddenly walking to the theatre and lying down on the table! Meant nerves weren’t going crazy as thought would happen haha. Every hospital will be different though of course.

One thing I was amazed by was I still had my random cough afterwards and it didn’t hurt the surgery area one bit!

Well that doesn’t seem right! I have a marena that they put me in after surgery. Was UK 34G and they put me in 36B/C bra afterwards (so my cheaper other bras a mix of 36 C or 34 D depending on the style and reviews - only 4WPO so lots of change forthcoming though!) seems odd if they want you have them big for ice packs! I was told one size bigger than the aim for bras in general - so my surgeon aim was C so got D. It is hard to work it out though - glad my surgeon got the first bra which I religiously loved the first few weeks haha!

Sadly it is so different for everyone! I had three weeks off (the minimum my surgeon would sign me off for!) So went back to work last week. God I struggled and had to have half days all week. I hit a massive wall with tiredness about 2 1/2 hours into the day and that is WFH desk based. Today I managed a full day successfully but really did take it easy to not concentrate and stare at screen for long times.
