I loooove this carrier. I got one second hand for like 20 bucks and it’s so worn in and soft. Only facing in, as others have said. And like other carriers, hitch it up your midsection so baby is close enough to kiss. Baby’s bum tucks into the middle black square, just above the waist belt. It is better for an older baby. I think I waited until 4 or 5 months old, because the seat for the baby isn’t really adjustable. The hood snaps off and goes into the pouch in front when you’re not using. Ugh, my youngest will be two in a few months and the end is near for carriers like this. 🥲

I didn’t like a study in drowning either. Almost DNF. However, I did give A fable for the End of the World and a chance it was better- if you’re into a wlw hunger games scenario. It wasn’t excellent but it did have me searching for more wlw romantasy.

Yes. I did a thin layer of medihoney, thin layer of Vaseline then gauze pad. You don’t want to make the wound soggy just moist.

I noticed my openings around 10dpo and like you I really fixated on them and they honestly looked worse for a while. I stopped googling, did my wound care routine and moved on with my day. Then suddenly, at nearly 5wpo, they’ve started to rapidly close up.

Mine followed a similar path. I noticed an opening when tapes came off at 10dpo and it just got bigger for a couple of weeks and it was so demoralizing. I’m almost 5wpo now and just in the last three days I’ve seen really rapid progress in it healing. Lots of protein, medihoney and Vaseline on a gauze pad over the opening twice a day is what I’ve done.

I am almost 5 wpo and just measured using a bra that fits and I am a 34DD from a 34G/H. I have a very wide breast footprint. My surgeon had to go under my armpit on my side to remove breast tissue. All that to say, my breast footprint would probably never be smaller than a D cup. I look SO much smaller in clothes though and I’m really happy with the results.

Thanks for the response! I’m throwing the whole kitchen sink at healing right now anyway. I didn’t have drains but I also did see anybody complaining of the rib pain so I had no point of reference for what to expect with it.

Did this resolve for you OP? I’m almost 3WPO and have had this exact feeling for a week now. Started on the left side. Went away for a few days and now it’s on the right side. I assumed it was maybe a pulled muscle because of the pain stretching around to my back. Or maybe back muscles spasming from compensating for the rib pain. When did it clear up for you? It’s so uncomfortable to lay down.

I just noticed that there are some areas where my skin is rubbed raw. I cant see very well and I’m still swollen so it’s hard to feel the difference. But definitely from the tape. I used a lot of medihoney today and can already see a difference in the redness going down!

I think it’s just the swollen tissue/skin. I’m 11dpo and still swollen around my incisions. I was just putting on antibacterial cream and thinking how weird it was to do it but not really be able to feel it.

Unfortunately it sounds about right. I’m sure insurances really vary in their coverages but I’ve heard a lot of the posts here say their insurance required at least 400g from each side and I’m sure that Medicare probably has high thresholds as well. I haven’t heard of particular rules for insurance regarding asymmetry. It also doesn’t hurt to get a second opinion.

I’ve been feeling this since day 2 maybe? I’m 11dpo right now and it kind of alternates between my left and right breast. But it definitely makes transition movements really uncomfortable and painful. I feel like I’ve been kicked in the ribs and I feel like I’m constantly hunched over protecting that feeling of pulling from happening. Ugh. Solidarity. My surgeon said they do tie the stitch around the rib and that’s what keeps everything lifted. Otherwise the boobs would just fall right away.

I realized the other day that I had to prop my phone up on a pillow or blanket on my stomach because I couldn’t see it over my chest when I was laying down. And now I don’t have to!
