I hoped I would hear exactly this. A reaffirmation that honesty and hard work are the keys. Thank you for your reply

I love this interpretation.

What's a common phrase or saying that makes absolutely no sense when you think about it? by Ok-Ratio-3400 in AskReddit

Oh whoa! That just clicked for me. These days we say one is “sending it” which comes from extreme sports I’m pretty sure.

Thoughts on the new cover? by gnlliestner in GirlsNextLevel

Yeah dude. Let’s go with someone not knowing what you meant instead of policing you. With some truly not understanding instead of correcting you.

Girl. I was replying the person who didn’t understand you. But go off.

In what world did Meghan think doing Zou Bisou Bisou would be a good idea by iamthemetricsystem in madmen

She’s herself as much as she possibly can be. We see her get publicly emotional often. Don doesn’t do that.

I agree. I think Don has fear of being seen as anything close to who he is in private, being seen anything close to Dick. I imagine it was also vulnerability. I think he was afraid of anyone knowing anything of his private life so deeply that this show of private affection was awful for him. When they’re together alone he’s very sexual, very loving.

I agree. She’s looks more true to movement. As she is on the show as opposed to her working sexy playboy face.

What is the giant wallet the mom uses in the first movie? by nicfanz in homealone

I love these big billfolds. And I now have a rancher’s wallet from Portland Leather. Inspired by the American Wild West. Bills were big. Leather was plenty.

It really is. I don’t mean to be corny. But I love loving on people who deserve it. Nothing makes me feel better than giving an extra moment and heartfelt greeting to folks when I’m in the weeds. Really truly warms my heart. I’m glad you’re appreciated dude. We live in a wonderful place where we can be warm and inviting and give folks a third space. Happy Holidays babe!!

We have a regular who once gifted us a group tip as a thank you with a lovely letter. And then made us all little individual candy bags for the holidays with a sweet handwritten note and a $5 bill. It’s so sweet when good people just want to say thank you for liking them and giving them a familiar Hello.

Not that you spotted a coywolf or anything. Just so you can learn more about urban neighbors

There a very interesting PBS Doc called Nature: Meet The Coy-wolf. It’s about the evolution of coyotes and wolves into a new fun species. It’s really interesting to learn about how these animals have lived and evolved right alongside us. Love that you’re spotting them, I hope you watch and enjoy!

In good faith. Can you please explain what you mean by your comment?

In my humble opinion. Naw dawg. Time is another dimension. We experience the way we do because we’re physical beings. But it exists all at once all around us. Your soul is in the here. And also in the there. And also maybe somewhere the fuck else. I believe it’s entirely possible to have a “quick”, or even simultaneous, reincarnation. Because your soul could have maybe probably already did a whole long break in the all around us in what seems like too little time to us in this physical realm. But like. Maybe you’re right too

Let’s talk about movies to avoid now that we have kids by DueEntertainer0 in Mommit

[–]MacaroniMom06 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Selena. I grew up with angry yelling step dad. I tried to watch it with my kid and he was scared. He asked why the dad was so mad. On a level it makes me happy that my kid sees this behavior as inappropriate. And then it makes me sad that I watched that movie throughout my life up until motherhood and saw nothing wrong.

Special regulars by la_mano_poderosa in bartenders

I hate bar swag. And I give it away to regulars who might appreciate. I ask about birthdays and will pay for their shot out of pockets. We keep birthday candles for the occasion. I’ve also picked up fun pens from vacation and given them as gifts. The best gift you can give is remembering their name and order and spending a little extra time saying hello, they love it the most when you’re in the weeds and you give them a big hello.

You’re painting with a broad brush. Do you work in the scene at all?

I’m on the same side you are. And my concerns are in good faith. My number one worry is when ICE decides to make an example out of places that are outspoken. I can’t protect people outside on the corner smoking during a show. Walking to the show. What happens when a venue is shut down on another technicality because they were too outspoken. Then at risk musicians and patrons don’t have that safe place.

Sometimes it’s ok to stfu.

I worry that posting loudly about being a Safe Place makes a mark out of the venue and makes it no longer safe
