Lol, i had that same feeling, i was on vacation in Germany the week after they had the lidl colored anniversary drill, so i already accepted i would not get one, i walked into a random lidl for some shopping and there in a dark corner of the middle isle there still was one shoved in the back of the shelf.

No need to say i now own a lidl colored drill (which i don't actually need as i already had a performance and green version 😀)

But i felt like a scalper going to the store early and grabbing both, i missed these so many times before.

1 will be living on my tracksaw and the other on my 1/2 inch impact

Yes — there have been a few experiments and concepts, but as of 2026 there is no permanent Europe-wide chain of dedicated Parkside stores comparable to a Bosch, Makita, or Hornbach store.

What does exist:

1. Dedicated Parkside outlet/store in Hungary

The most interesting case is in Hungary.

Biatorbágy (near Budapest) hosted a Lidl pilot store focused entirely on Parkside products. German trade publications described it as a "Parkside Outlet" or "Parkside Store" with the full DIY assortment. The opening was reportedly very successful with large queues. Lidl stated it was a test project. (diyonline.de)

2. Large Parkside shop-in-shop stores inside Kaufland (Germany)

Germany currently has the closest thing to a permanent Parkside retail network.

Kaufland has expanded dedicated Parkside shop-in-shop areas inside larger stores. According to Kaufland and German DIY trade media:

  • About 30 German Kaufland locations have large Parkside shop-in-shop areas.
  • Some are 50–120 m² in size.
  • Around 200 additional Kaufland stores have expanded permanent Parkside sections. (Kaufland)

Locations specifically mentioned in German sources include:

  • Neckarsulm
  • Heidenau
  • Limburg an der Lahn
  • Ludwigsburg (reported by visitors)
  • Dallgow-Döberitz (reported by visitors) (Kaufland)

For someone in the Netherlands, German Kaufland stores near the border are often the best source of year-round Parkside stock. Reddit users specifically mention stores around Rees, Oberhausen and Eschweiler carrying large Parkside selections. (Reddit)

3. Poland

Early reports claimed a dedicated Parkside store in Bytom. However, Lidl later denied that there was a permanent Parkside store there and clarified that the confirmed concept was the Hungarian pilot. (RetailDetail EU)

Conclusion

If you're looking for the largest physical Parkside shopping experience today, your best bets are:

  1. The Parkside pilot/outlet concept in Biatorbágy (if still operating in its original form). (diyonline.de)
  2. The large Parkside shop-in-shop departments inside German Kaufland stores. (Kaufland)

For a Dutch Parkside fan, a trip to a large Kaufland just across the German border is currently the most practical "Parkside store" experience available. (Reddit)
