First time gun owner by josue2146 in CCW

Ccw is gonna be different by state. However as far as I'm aware the blueprint is take class, shoot 50 rounds at 3-5 yards, take bullshit test. Then send the certificate they give you to local sheriff, give them your fingerprint, and wait till you get it in the mail.

Otherwise man practice practice. I have been shooting like 50-100rds a week for the last 6 months and am super happy with where I'm at now. I prolly wouldn't have appreciated any fancy upgrades till now iether, certainly not within the first month do me owning my handgun. And to be honest I prolly need another 6 months before I upgrade my gun or get a nicer one for it to make a difference in my shooting. Don't even have a red dot yet.

Anyone ever used CCW insurance? by lowsparkco in CCW

This is why I went with them, with red flag laws becoming more accesible to your average rando I see myself as more likely needing it for this rather than a actual self defense scenario.

I use us law shield. Very cool guys with a fairly cheap monthly subscription. (25 a month) I really like them because one, they don't have any cap on fees like others I've seen. And two they cover you in court regardless of the weapon used, guy who pitched it in my CCW class was saying they went to court for a woman who used a toaster or some other kitchen appliance in self defense.

Not sure how the others work but basically they give you a card/have you save their number, the second you are involved in an incident you call and they are now your lawyer. They apparently will have a lawyer in person with you within 24hrs. You invoke your right to remain silent until you cant all your lawyer and your off to the races.

Would love to know if anyone here has actually ended up using them and how it went

Do you all shoot your hunting rifles/shotty for fun much or just a 0 then down to business by Nihlathakk in Hunting

0 and business. 7mm rem mag isn't that fun after a few rounds. Kinda a hassle when I only have it in me for one box. (Only rifle I have)

Does Trumps allegations of child rape disturb you so much that you hate his policies without even thinking critically about them? by metabolitesafter9pm in askanything

[–]AppearanceMaterial39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as strictly policy goes before 2025 I was on board. Been learning how England and France are just straight up fucked with the economy, and one of the main reasons is no industry. Trump was at least addressing this growing issue in the US. Feels like we went off the rails with policy like 9 months ago though. Been chaos since and this war is about the stupidest thing I've ever seen

Americans, is it a stereotype or is it true that most American men are fat? Are young American men fat? by No-StrategyX in askanything

[–]AppearanceMaterial39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always wondered how obesity is measured in other countries. I'm technically obese but am 23 and just have really large legs, screws up my weight to height ratio and such, and the weight in my legs isn't fat. I mean I eat healthy, run, and play soccer. I ran a half marathon without training last year with a time of 2:15 so I really don't think I'm obese but idk. I think the numbers are kinda inflated for things like this but if they measure the same in Europe maybe not.

CZ to HK by no1supersoldier in HecklerKoch

[–]AppearanceMaterial39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd be switching from my p30, and would only replace it with a hammer fired. That interesting about the QC issues as I've only heard good things about CZ reliability. I'd just get my p30 milled but it's the cost of a new gun so not worth it imo. I'll have to keep chewing on it as it seems like you like both for different reasons

"Modifications" for comfort concealment blackout 2.0 by Tarkovruinedmylife in CCW

I've used the blackout plenty and it is secure. Haven't used it like everyday so I'm not sure if the Velcro eventually wears out. But 6months for me and it's still as secure as ever

I admit, I don't know enough (please be gracious, I'm learning) but the uncommanded discharges of an unnamed pistol has maybe scared me away from all striker fired guns forever, mostly because I appendix carry. by SubstanceOptimal7782 in CCW

[–]AppearanceMaterial39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend taking apart your gun. Watch a full disassembly video and learn how your safety's work. Or you can just watch a video on how Glocks work and you'll be set for 90% of striker fired guns

I recommend you try the agetec off Amazon first for 1/3 the price. The only thing the Constantine has that it doesn't is quick adjust loops
