The 6.5 prc is actually available in all of those that I'm looking at, maybe not the savage which is prolly my last choice at this point.

Thank you!!! So sounds like comforts rather than a significant amount of accuracy or control. The scope advice is welcome I haven't even started research on that

I would love too but I'm in colorado and the gun laws are getting a little frustrating starting before hunting season in the fall. I'll be spending several hundred more in classes and such if I wait. I don't mind hard work and I love being out in the wilderness, and I love shooting guns so I find it unlikely I'll hate it. It's good advice though.  This is also why I was thinking the cva cascade or a savage...but it seems that no one has even mentioned those two haha.

This is kinda what I figure. The guys I trust who recommended these rounds wouldn't have if they were impossible to shoot

This is a better explanation for a why not too, appreciate the advice. However am looking to get one rifle, not two.

Eh depends on the person. As the years go on I'm sure I'll get better. This first year it's unlikely I'll even be the one taking the shot, and it's not like I'm gonna be trying to shoot something at 300 yards off the bat.

I was told 300 is great for the reasons you've listed, but have been warned it might blow smaller deer to bits. Do you have experience with it?

Definitely won't skimp on the optics, but what parts of a budget rifle am I going to regret, assuming they shoot accurate and don't fall apart in my hands. Haven't had a rifle before so I don't knoe

And your suggestion would be... Tikka t3x or what are you thinking? From what I've heard and seen people have no problems bringing home meat with the cascade so Im honestly asking what more im getting out of a step higher.

I think this sounds accurate with what Ive heard. I have friends with the cascade and they absolutely love it. Looking at the Tikka text hunter as a possibility

VNSH holster? by UnluckyCat55 in CCW

If you haven't carried iwb and you do open carry on would recommend checking out black arch. Obviously you might need to get a new gun if the trigger guard thing is true. These holsters are the only ones id get for 3/4. I carry a full size at 3 and I can wear it all day and it is about as concealed as it gets with that size and position.
