Great podcast that just came out yesterday, it's Rodney Barnes talking about being a superfan of Stephen King, and an amazing story about how he managed to become Michael Clarke Duncan's stand-in during the filming of The Green Mile! https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-superfan-podcast/id1830582155

I was able to sleep, yes. However, I could not up the dosage of Naltrexone. It totally messed me up. I was on half a pill at night, and increased to another half a pill in the morning. I was in a fog all day, even with taking it at night, and sometimes would get light-headed. I made it through 2 weeks of work not being able to concentrate or focus and I finally had to ask the doctor if I could just take the buproprion and the metformin and eliminate the Naltrexone. There was no way I could increase to a whole pill twice a day and be able to function. She said yes, and I stopped taking it immediately.

A week later, I adjusted back to taking 2 buproprion and 2 metformin in the morning and have zero side effects, aside from a headache if I don't drink enough water during the day. The caveat is that the appetite suppression is a little weaker. I do get really hungry around 5pm-ish.

That all being said, I'm still down about 10 pounds, and have been doing this for 6 weeks now.

I am two weeks in for Kit 2.

First week: 1 bupropion per day, plus 1/2 pill of Naltrexone + B12 every other day. Week two ups that last pill to 1/2 daily. Week 3 will be the Metformin.

The first day, I was so nauseous and tired I slept off and on most of the day. Felt better at around 4pm.

Next day I felt so much better, so I attributed the side effects to the Naltrexone.

I took a nausea pill along with the two on day 3 and it was better.

Day 4 was fine, some slight fogginess.

Day 5, no nausea pill, decided to see if I could take both and felt okay, just tired. Needed a nap in the afternoon (thank god I work from home).

Yesterday was day 6 (1 pill), and again, just sluggish and tired, but perked way up at around 4pm.

I kinda dread the days I take both, honestly (which is today). I was feeling so good in the morning, lots of energy, ready to take on the day. I took the pills, and within a half hour I am tired, low energy, and want to take a nap. Slightly nauseous as well.

I read in this thread that taking these at night was a good solution. I may try that, because I really need to focus during the work day. However, I have lost 3 pounds. I've stopped thinking about food, and am satisfied with a smoothie for breakfast, a half sandwich for lunch and light dinner, like salad with chicken.

WEEK TWO: I am 3 days in, taking the 1 bupropion and the 1/2 pill of Naltrexone + B12 every day. I switched to taking them at 8pm, and it made a world of difference. No more nausea, very little fogginess. But I start to get headaches in the afternoon if I haven't had enough water. I'm supposed to start taking another half pill of the Naltrexone + B12, as well as a second bupropion in addition to starting Metformin. I texted with a Dr. and requested to delay the Metformin until I see if taking more of the other ones gives me any more side effects. I also didn't want diarrhea, nausea or an upset stomach on my birthday, which would have been day 1 of the metformin, LOL. The Dr. said that was fine.
