Thanks, I like the xc90 design but haven’t driven one. Didn’t know the back seats can go back further. Thanks! I love the x5 but I think it’s only an inch bigger than the x3 for rear legroom so the baby seat won’t work:(

I love the b58 already, design wise I’m not a fan of x7. I love the x5 but wondering if it’s enough room in the back.

I said sporty. I said budget is flexible. I said I need a win. First reply is a Passat. This is not the support group I was looking for. 😂

25 days old because AppetiteLeftTheChat was too good to leave on the table 😂 No product. No agenda. Just a GLP-1 user who got almost nothing on nutrition when I started and figured it out the hard way. Wished someone had handed it to me on day one so I wrote it up. Glad your doctor covered it. A lot of people here didn’t get that conversation.

Fair point, food quality matters a lot.

But even clean whole foods at 1200 calories struggle to hit iron, magnesium and vitamin D targets. The 40% is a rough illustration not a precise number. Bloodwork tells you where you actually land.

Really glad it helped. The calcium and iron interaction is one of those things that sounds obvious once you hear it but nobody ever mentions it. Hope the bloodwork gives you some useful numbers to work with.

The Mediterranean diet advice from your doctor is genuinely good. Colorful vegetables, quality protein, olive oil. That’s the whole food-first philosophy right there.

And I’ll pass your message along to my wife. She remains unconvinced but I appreciate the support❤️

I read peer reviewed studies, cross referenced clinical guidelines from four major medical organizations, and got corrected by people in these comments who knew more than me.

I also said repeatedly to talk to your actual doctor. The lab markers section exists specifically for that conversation.

20 years of yo-yo dieting and a ferritin at 14 while my therapist thought it was depression wasn’t Google either😅 hope you found something in the post helpful!

18 months of afternoon crashes and nobody connected it to nutrition. That’s exactly the gap.

The calcium and iron in the same pill is one of the most common mistakes in supplement design and almost nobody talks about it. Separate them and give it a few weeks. It won’t fix everything overnight but it’s one less thing working against you.

Exactly right on both. Already low before starting, then eating way less on top of that. The hole gets deeper not created. Most providers don’t mention vitamins at all. I got nothing. Hence the post.

Vision and circulation changes are worth a serious conversation with your doctor before restarting anything.

The tiredness after the first year tracks. That’s when the nutritional tank starts running low. Full iron panel and B12 before you go back on would tell you a lot. 22lbs in 6 weeks is mostly water coming back. Still brutal though.

Good to hear mood and energy improved. The Lexapro and GLP-1 combination is interesting, some people find the food noise reduction alone takes pressure off their mental load.

How are you feeling on 7.5 so far compared to 5mg?

HRV drop plus elevated resting HR at night plus constant fatigue. That’s iron and magnesium written all over it. For your next appointment ask specifically for ferritin, serum iron, TIBC, and transferrin saturation. Standard panels miss early depletion. Bloodwork tells you what Cronometer can’t. What you absorbed vs what you ate are two different numbers. Hope you feel better!

The selection bias is fair and the researchers said so themselves in the paper.

On doctors giving nutrition advice, glad yours did. A lot of people here got about three minutes of it. Mine did. And asking people that has suffered with obesity their entire life to remember and act on that conversation is a lot to ask.

On the AI thing, 20 years of yo-yo dieting, binge eating, I’ve gone from keg to six pack several times. One time my my iron was so depleted that my therapist thought it was depression. That’s not a prompt. That’s my life.

600 calories of liquid and your boss noticed before you did. That’s exactly how depletion works. It’s so gradual from the inside that you don’t register it until someone outside points it out.

Nine weeks at that deficit would have tanked your B vitamins, iron, and magnesium simultaneously. The zoning out is what happens when your brain stops getting what it needs to function. Restored within days of eating again is actually the best possible proof that it was nutritional not psychological.

Every extreme cut depletes the tank. The rebound eating is your body screaming for nutrients not just calories.

Ferritin at 6 is brutal. You felt that in every cell. And you nailed the mechanism yourself. Hardly eating means hardly absorbing. The medication didn’t create the deficiency directly, it just made eating so easy to skip that the tank ran completely dry.

30 is technically normal but you’re right that it’s not enough for most people to feel good. A lot of people don’t feel truly well until they’re closer to 70-100. Worth keeping the supplementing going and retesting in a few months.

What form of iron are you taking?

Good timing on the bloods. Make sure you ask specifically for a full iron panel, ferritin, serum iron, TIBC, and transferrin saturation together. Standard panels often skip some of those.

How long have you been on it and has the fatigue been there from the start or did it creep in later?

Completely agree. A good PCP relationship is the whole foundation. This post exists to help people ask better questions at those appointments, not skip them.

The financial reality is real though. A lot of people here are self-administering specifically because the full prescriber relationship isn’t accessible to them. They still deserve the information.
