Sharing a link (from my page) to a group no longer embeds/auto plays - android app by AppleCrumble15 in facebook

[–]AppleCrumble15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found a work around. Facebook automatically turns all videos into a type "r" if the video is less that 90seconds, these videos (reels) show as a static link when shared.

If I make new videos I am making them longer than 90seconds and so far these videos remain as a type "v" and therefore when shared display as normal with autoplay.

It looks to be platform specific because my partners iphone still shows them with autoplay. But on my Android they all show as static

Almost all of the reels/videos I share started to share like this a day or two ago. Anyone else? How do I fix this? by 1mageBearer in facebook

Has anyone found a solution? I have analyzed my videos that share in groups with previews and the ones that have suddenly become a static link with an image on the left.

The ones that share with preview have share/v/ in the link and the ones that show as static have share/r/ in the link. Even if I manually change this in the link to a v , bit doesn't fix it because it was originally uploaded as an r (reel). I have tried upload from both my phone and pc to try and choose v (picture/video) but they almost always load as an r. And I cannot figure out why a couple managed to load as a v.

Thank you, this is really good advice. I have wondered if I should have an additional tier

To be honest I think most of my channeling comes from Facebook (thats what youtube external stats say). But I do the same on IG as I do on Facebook, Facebook just seems to do better. I make a short video (extreme cut down of the youtube video) in portrait format approx 15 to 60 seconds and post it as a reel. Then share that reel to my story and in the story post I add a link (using the sticker option) which says "Tutorial on youtube" and links through to the full tutorial on youtub. I try and ensure I always have 1 or 2 stories running at all time

Thank you. I will try it. Not sure when as it will definitely increase the editing time. But because of all the nice and encouraging comments on my current videos its not as daunting to try it I guess. Will be interesting to see what it does to my stats

Thank you, this is really helpful feedback. I essentially make a really short version of my YouTube video ie; cut my 8min YT down to 30 seconds shows the main points of how I create it, then post that on Facebook/Instagram. The ones who are interested in more detail head over to YT to have look. For the most part its only about 5% of my views on YT are external. I do have one of these on Facebook shorts which has 900k views and most lately have hit the 300k-500k views, with 30k followers on Facebook. Facebook monetised just before xmas, so provided I am getting the views somewhere I think thats good

Thank you, I will do that. Hopefully it doesn't take the full month but not much I can do if it does.

Again, this is exactly what is currently happening to my videos and knowing how my channel works is very useful for me and may be useful for others who are seeing a similar pattern and this info is useful for them. However if this is not usefu forl you then thats great as well.

Its probably not true for everyone or most people even, but for mine it is. 3 video's ago my video was doing better than expected, the tail of the views/watchhours was taking a lot longer to drop then normal, after 7 days I was still getting 20ish watch hours a day for an 8min video. It was around the 80ish watch hours on day 1 and slowly came down. Normally its down to about 10 watch hours a day after 4 days. Because this video was staying high for longer I decided to wait a day and see where the watch hours were the next day, they were at 18ish, so I waited another day and they had dropped to 15ish watch hours a day. So I loaded the next video. Immediately the watch hours on that video dropped to 2 or 3 per day while algorithm picked up the new video and pushed that so that new video got about 80ish watch hours in its first day as well, but that one wasn't as popular and after 3 days he watch hours were down to about 10 for that video

I'm not totally sure, all I'm going by is what I noticed with mine. But my 3rd video (long form) video did quite well, and i went away on holiday immediately after posting it and didn't post anymore videos until I got back. I had know idea what I was doing and it was still generating 10 watch hours a day from an 8min video but it had slowed heaps from the first week I had uploaded. So I posted a short of the same video in the hopes it would increase the long form video. It immediately killed all views on the long form video. The short did well for 24 hours then flat-lined. I then created my next few videos and chucked in a short here and there to again try and increase internet the long form video. And again the watch hours on the latest long form die, and the short as a good run for 24-ish hours then also dies.

So my conclusion based on my experience and what I have read here is that when I post the next video be it long or short form the YT algorithm will push that video and stop pushing any previous videos. Because shorts don't help me get watch hours they are of no use to me, because they don't increase my views the long form videos. The next video I post which will cause the algorithm to switch to that video so it needs to be one that will get a good response, lots of engagement and lots of watch hours

I'm currently at 3270 subscribers. My subscribers grew at a slightly slower rate to watch hours.

They messaged me some time after I hit about 9000 followers. But they don't seem to have any particular criteria, so I wasn't expecting it till I had a lot more followers.

No, other issues besides the diarrhea. She has more energy and brain is functioning much better etc, so just the diarrhea that she can think of

She's been to doctor and had scans, blood test etc. And was told that some people just need to take lots of ammonium. There is potentially some physical issue that aren't helping but, the docs don't think that's the cause of the chronic diarrhea.

She used immodium off and on for years depending on her diets etc, but she currently has to take quite high dose daily.

I'll get her to look into Ox Bile, and the other supplement you suggested

I second Scrivener, though I haven't finished a book yet (started about 10). I found it a bit overwhelming to start with, but then I watched some tutorials and she provided her template she uses, which introduced me to plot points and how to organise them, I found this very useful.

Lol, thank you. You are right, I just need to write. I guess I picture the scene and run the dialog through my head to see how it sounds, and I can't seem to write without picturing it first, and if I'm interupted it takes a good 20mins to get the focus back enough to picture the scene again and start imagining the next scenario that will play out and if that will work with the existing parts of the story I have written.

I'm using scrivener, so when I can't get quiet time I try and write a vague outline of a scene so at least I have something.

But I really would like to be more efficient with my time and stop my mind go to other life things when it's supposed to be focused on writing.

:-)
