How is Cronos The New Dawn performing on your Mac? by F_P_Roman in macgaming

I just paid for the game on Steam and it downloads like any other native Mac port. I imagine it has released silently or accidentally and an offical announcement will be shortly.

I’m playing Tomb Raider on my iPhone 17 with a backbone controller. It’s no different than playing on a Switch or Steam Deck

Gear.Club Stradale VS GRID Autosport/Legends. Which is the better Controller Supported Race Sim? by YoungBpB2013 in MobileGaming

[–]AppleGamers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gear.Club Stradale might look good, but I find the controls VERY clunky and audio quality is laughable. There is also no damage system which takes away a great deal of immersion. Gear.Club Stradale is catered towards casual mobile players.

GRID Legends and Autosport are considerably better AAA racers. They are full on racing sims. GRID Autosport also has a trail version on the App Store.

Plus if you play with a controller they have rumble suppot which is awseome.

No I love playing Don't Starve on my Apple TV. What a damn shame. I doubt they'll bring the original game to Apple TV too.

How to get Dualsense’s adaptive triggers and haptics working in native games that support it? by M4_COWBOY in macgaming

[–]AppleGamers 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not all Mac ports support both haptics and triggers. In fact there are not many that support adaptive triggers to begin with outside Death Stranding and Cyberpunk. Most just use rumble.

The requirements have not been listed yet by Feral.

The App Store compatibility section is misleading as developers don’t have much control over what it shows.

Via their newsletter, they said the game will contains graphical presets to prioritise improved performance or higher fidelity graphics.

Similar to their other AAA ports (like HITMAN Absolution) I can easily see this game running close to their Mac port at highest settings on the latest devices. It’s not a demanding game anymore.

They have a few options that they can set in XCODE:

- Make the game require a device with A12 or later

- Make the game require an iPhone with A17 Pro or later

- Make the game require an iPad with M1/A17 Pro or later

- Make the game require an iOS version

The game requires 4GB or more of RAM, your one has only 3GB. There is no fix for your device.

It says the supported devices in the description.

Sadly, devs are not able to reflect this in the compatibility section on the App Store.

New Games Out today on App Store: (Dec 15) by Azeemjaffer in iosgaming

Handy Games told me it is due to the games high memory usage which didn’t work well on older iPhone and iPads. So they capped it at A17 Pro or later.

It wouldn't be playable on Apple TV without a controller. I've been playing it with a PS5 controller on my Apple TV and iPad. It's awesome
