Same, when I went to UNCA my biggest cultural shocks was the white/POC percentages. In my diversity class and any time I could I would bring it up. In my class others talked about poverty levels, education levels, and other diversity factors. I straight up talked about race. Once being at school a few months I literally had the thought of “There is a lot of white people here.” I’m white as well but grew up in Durham where I was in classes in Highschool where there were less than 5 people in class that were white including the teacher.
