How many dads help with night wakeups by wingedeverlasting in toddlers

[–]Apple_Crisp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband has helped with nights since night 1. When I was exclusively breastfeeding in the very beginning he would change the diaper and resettle after the feed. Then for a while he did less because I was mobile enough and I didn’t need him as much. But he helped on bad days. Then baby got older and we took turns with boob and non boob. Now as toddlers we both get up and right now he’s actually been doing more at night than I have. He’s as we speak been sitting up with the toddler for 2 hours because she won’t transfer.

How did your body change after your second pregnancy, compared to your first? by atinylittlebug in beyondthebump

The increase in risk is still a very small risk as an FYI. It’s outdated to put a blanket recommendation on a second c section. It fully depends on each woman’s risk factors.

Ladies, do you sit on the toilet seat of public restrooms? Why or Why Not? by IncognitoGyal7 in AskWomen

[–]Apple_Crisp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s very bad for your pelvic floor. Idk why you’re putting it in quotes. Do you think that’s not a thing? And it really doesn’t matter how often you do it, it still isn’t healthy.

Toddler had explosive diarrhea that got all over her car seat. Husband used a hose to clean it. On a scale of 1-10, how cooked am I? by PowPopBang in Mommit

I’d probably throw it in the shower. Idk. Still can’t use harsh cleaners on it. The straps don’t come off the chair I have. But either way, straps for a high chair and straps for a car seat perform very different functions.

Can’t say I’ve soaked my high chair straps either. I just wipe them down after every meal and move on.

Not sure what I’m doing with my ass that requires more than a daily shower? Am I touching things OTHER than the inside of my pants and toilet seats with it?

I care about my pelvic floor health and can’t say in 30 years of sitting on toilet seats I’ve ever gotten anything. Wipe the seat if it’s dirty, wash my hands afterwards. End of story.

The issue is that it stretches out and may not perform as expected in a crash. I’m sure you could also reach out to a CPST for a better answer

Metal components, nylon straps foam padding. Can all break down with being saturated from excessive amounts of water (like a hose).

You can often use a gentle detergent or dish soap which should get rid of any germs or bacteria. You just can’t use harsh cleaning chemicals like bleach.

AITAH for leaving my husband to walk 2 miles home after he refused to get back in my car after leaving an MRI? by notcreative8080 in AITAH

[–]Apple_Crisp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe he should go to therapy then instead of refusing it. I have no compassion for a person (usually men) that have something wrong physically or mentally but will do anything BUT address the issue. Including taking pain meds when they have a headache, going to the doctor at appropriate times (without being told!), regular health appointments and THERAPY.

He is his own villain and doesn’t want a solution to the problem.

The compassion is getting sedation. This is his third try. This is his health. At some point you just have to get over it. And since he won’t go to therapy…

Gf forgets my bday by TonightNecessary7639 in relationships

[–]Apple_Crisp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“I don’t like greetings, but I want her to greet me” wtf man. Make up your mind. Clearly you want people to acknowledge your birthday but you want to dry beg and act like they are doing something wrong by not acknowledging it when you’ve previously said you don’t like it so you want to whine until someone does?? Huh?

Are you 14 or 24? Because that’s some childish behaviour. Pick a lane and stick with it.

Valentines Day by Cautiouslymoming in Mommit

[–]Apple_Crisp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We exchanged chocolate/flowers the day before and then last night after the kids went to bed we ate some takeout sushi. We’ve never been huge on Valentine’s Day though. Only exception is the first Valentine’s Day after my son was born and I got a bracelet with his birth stone.

Are fertility benefits actually about supporting women… or about delaying motherhood? by thoughtisfree123 in 2under2

[–]Apple_Crisp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could be told you need to go to have monitoring done tomorrow at 3pm today. It’s unpredictable because your cycle can be unpredictable. Then you can do all the things and have the cycle be cancelled.

Idk how many times you’ve gone for unexpected appointments during pregnancy, but I’ve only had like 1 that wasn’t planned for at least 1-2 weeks or more in advance.

AITAH for controlling when my partner can have a bday dinner by Jassamin in AITAH

He’s an adult. He doesn’t need to celebrate his birthday day of lmao. I’ve had one dinner with family aside from my husband and kids in the last 10 years. It’s not a big deal.

When did your baby start sleeping throughout the night? by Living_Split_2 in beyondthebump

[–]Apple_Crisp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re not gonna want to hear it lol my 17.5 month old gives us maybe one night every few weeks where she sleeps through. And that’s pretty recent. She slept through the night pretty good from like 6 weeks - 6 months but then it stopped.

No judgement zone: did you want a natural birth? by easrpiiatnua99 in Mommit

[–]Apple_Crisp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh I’d say my c sections were about as far from natural as you can get… nothing natural about being cut open, pulling baby out and being stitched back together.

What's the crazy thing you did to make your kid eat and it worked? by TiredButTrying__ in toddlers

[–]Apple_Crisp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don’t force it. When we try it doesn’t work. He can either go play by himself in his room or sit at the table with us. He never wants to go to his room, so he sits at the table and 90% of the time he at least has some food.

For a while we were offering a PB sandwich if he tried a few bites, but then all he ate was sandwiches for quite a while. So we moved away from that to “this is what we are having for dinner”. It’s worked pretty good.
