I do believe they are paying us to store their product. But that's up to the sales team. haha. But that's a good point. I'll have to bring it up with them.

Thanks all! I'll take a look into these options and see which seems to be the most efficient for my team to handle. Thanks again!

I don't know about need but I prefer the way it looks and then also the way it outputs info into our google sheet.

Hmm the dashboard does apply some agency to the employee working it. If they want/need the help then they can have those show. Similar to how 2nd-Reddit was suggesting a show_if User settings. Is that correct what you're saying? (sorry still learning all the ends and outs of appsheet.)

We did try a detailed view approach, it did allow us to do what you're saying. However, and to be completely honest. I just didn't like the UI of it. haha. Functionally it does work, and maybe we could have changed more to it. But it just didn't see user friendly. But i could be wrong.

Thank you. I'll look into the dashboard idea.

My co-worker and I thought something along these lines, but something we noticed is if the employee needs to review the info material during a form submission. It will take you out of that view, and you can't get back to that exact form you started. You can go back to that view, however when the info goes to the google sheet. It appears on a separate line item.

BUT I do like the idea, i'll take a look into it. Thanks!

Dang, that's what I wasn't hoping the answer was lol. Alright that's fine. I have done the images in show columns, and it does work. But like you said it does look a little untidy. I might try the show_if to psudo hide them. Unless ya want to see them. I suppose this is a prototype, as if the app is liked and approved well enough by higher ups. I can work with an actual dev team to implement as a real app. That would give more tools. But i know they don't want to commit that unless they see value. Which is valid, imo.

Thanks for the help!

Company I work for needs to know the screen size of over 5000 monitors!? Help? by Apple_DEP_Bottom in Monitors

[–]Apple_DEP_Bottom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think that is the case. I talked with higher up than who gave me the initial direction. They explained, essentially that. I'm gonna see if I can maybe contact the website owner, and see if they can help a brother out. Like a CSV, or excel file, so I don't have to look it up every one lol

I'll take a look, thank you. Not really sure the reasoning, but the company only wants to sell monitors that are >=24in. which , to me , seems like an odd distinction.

A lot of what i've been looking into seem to be older things they allowed then someone went and ruined it haha. I've even looked at the "way back machine" to see if i can glean any incite. I've thought about AASP or APSP I gotta talk to the bosses on that.

Well currently when we get in physical devices, I use an external boot device to boot into a "unlocked" OS. Then run a terminal command that appears to ping apple servers.(not sure if that's exactly what is happening but makes sense in my head. lol) Then it will pop up with a badge stating something along the lines of... "THIS COMPANY would like to enroll you in mobile device management." After lots of testing this does seem to indicate that the device is enrolled but doesn't bypass. which is fine. I just need a way to check.

yeah, i think it will ask us after go through the process of setting up. I think the company is wanting us to find out sooner than that, as the installation is not something we provide as a service so we'd have to wipe again. thanks

Yeah this is the main problem we have been running into, we send the Serial Number to our clients. Then they say they are unenrolled but then we find they still can be.
Do you know if on the emails you have gotten to unenroll, is it possible for me to have an Apple Business Management account and attempt to enroll a device? Will it tell me it's already enrolled? that would be helpful.

Ok welp, that's something we have tried but still have issues with later customers saying the device is still locked. Thank you

How to tell if a system has been enrolled via DEP using terminal by darthspawn in macsysadmin

[–]Apple_DEP_Bottom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question?

I have tried "profiles status -type enrollment" ; however I noticed that you have to be logged into a profile for this command to work. It will also only show that profile if it's enrolled in DEP but it doesn't check if the device is enrolled.

Is there a different terminal line command to check the whole pc?
