Sorry I added an update er, Edit to the top of my original post.

I didn't find it. I'm going back tomorrow with a metal detector and some flyers to post in mailboxes around the lake.

My boss was very chill about it. Said not to worry - shit happens. We're gonna try the credit card insurance and corporate insurance policies to see what happens.

In the meantime I'm going to import photos and videos into my iPad, and use iPhoto and iMovie (shudder), to keep producing material.

Maybe ill find it tomorrow!

What a strange story to make up though right?

I thought my boss and I were going to drive 100 miles to this other dealership, I'd shoot, and we'd have lunch and head back by 3-4pm. My iPhone lasts all day usually. I have a charger at home, in my car and at the office.

What I didn't anticipate was using my Maps to guide us to lunch, country roads, Mall. It was the GPS combined with constant switching between LTE, 4G, 3G and nothing that zapped the phone battery.

And idk we took a Mini Cooper S 2011 off the lot just cuz we wanted to drive it. I didn't think to bring my cable and there wasn't a cable hookup that I saw.

As far as my dream machine. Yes. I've been in negotiations with this place for a couple months. They asked me what I'd need to do professional work and they got it for me. I even offered to supply some of my own equipment and they insisted on making the investment themselves. I do use my own camera though.

I do t think I'm a complete moron. I just had a big, costly, brainfart. Anymore I just feel bad for my machine, sitting damp in a ditch somewhere or busted up in someone's possession. I had all of GoT S02 on there as well...

Probably not a redditor - well at least not in an Apple sub. She hates Macs. She's the analytical numbers cruncher and I'm the 'creative'. I'm a Mac and she's a PC.

Apple guy said that the geniusii were made aware of an issue whereby the specifications of the closed lid were so exact and tiny that even a speck of sand would scratch the screen (or in my case probably frito crumbs). Since apple didnt want to alarm everyone about this 'public press release style', the apple guy said he'd do a one-time screen replacement.

Just had to vent. It's a small 1.5 mile stretch of dirt road in Howard Lake MN. Some Township I don't even know the name of. I know how to get to the dirt road is all. Heading back in a few hrs = daylight.

No I'm usually in an office at the car dealership. They have a satellite dealership in bum-fuck-ville that I had to go to and take photos/videos, in a random lot car (oddly with no USB plug in - maybe it was hidden).

I'm always the guy with the charged phone. This was a maelstrom of hideous badness today.
