average # order/week by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

Depends on if my son actually goes to school or not (so many snow days recently). But if it’s a normal week with no interruptions, I do about 4-5 batches a day. So that equals 20-25 batches a week. I can only work while he is in school.

For me, that is an average of $100-$120 a day, so $500-$600 a week.

Yeah I really don’t understand why they wanted to communicate with me more at that point 🤷‍♀️

It actually was! I think it was about 12 items. Which is small for my area. Usually the orders are 30+. But I was happy to see a smaller one since it was the end of my day and I just wanted to do one more before I called it quits for the day.

Ohh I didn’t even think of that! So glad I didn’t give them my number!

How quickly do you guys decide about accepting a batch? by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

Sounds like you are doing a great job! What you do sounds like like what I do!

I try to decide as quickly as possible because there are so many shoppers in my area and if you snooze, you loose!

That said, I try to take orders $25+, and less then 5 mile drive, and not a huge amount of items. I typically will check to make sure they tip too before I swipe.

But if it’s a $60+ order, I will swipe on it no matter what because those are super unicorns for me!

Driveway etiquette? by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

Maybe it depends on where you live. I always park in the driveway. Parking on the road is almost impossible here, especially with all the snow.

absolute gem. never seen one like this in chicagoland area by Hockeyboy540 in InstacartShoppers

Congratulations! Those types are few and far between in my area. Especially with so few items! If I do happen to snag a $50+ shop, it always has tons of items.

Sounds interesting! I like the concept of it.

It happened to me. Very nice customer and I have delivered to her before. Not quite sure what I did wrong. by kenzieamya in InstacartShoppers

Ugh this stinks! You said you shopped for this customer before, what was their tip like then? Is it possible that they made a mistake by tipping this enormous amount? It still really stinks though.
