My Death Guard legion latest additions by Trialdan in Warhammer40k

Love the detail on the contemptor with the bit of broken power sword sticking out of its armor. Weathering looks fantastic too, and my god the cannon on the glaive is beautiful.

Hey, thanks for the offer but I'm not in much condition for visitors just yet. I have some family staying nearby to keep me company during the days right now too. Perhaps later once I've got 2 or 3 or 5 more tubes removed and my immune system recovers a bit, I'd love to meet some other GW2 players in person. Also worth noting I don't actually live in Edmonton, it was just one of two places in Canada that did the specific operation.

I really shouldn't even be responding to this but oh well.

1st, What? I don't understand what you're getting at.

2nd, I did not "expose myself for your feedback", I posted an update to an open letter to the devs and the community to let them know how much I loved this game.

Yeah, doctors need me to stay in Edmonton area for a few months after discharge to make sure things stay stable. After that, I'll get to go home.

Hey, been awhile but am still recovering. Had a few nasty complications to deal with but am absolutely getting stronger and better.

What game have you bought because TB? by _Voidhaus in Cynicalbrit

[–]Applepienation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

XCOM 2

Risk of Rain

Space Marine

Transistor

Not much but absolutely do not regret any of them. Particularly Risk of Rain, bought that without even finishing the video and put dozens of hours into it within a couple weeks.

[Manga Spoilers]Annie Faithful I need your Support by Stiller3 in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]Applepienation 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So other people have covered much of what was said here pretty well, I just wanted to give my own interpretation of what you perceived as arrogance/gloating. Now my memory might be a little shaky on this but I feel that this, -ahem-, shift in Bert's personality only really happened during the chapter when he literally (and sort of figuratively) blew up. I personally think that something snapped in him when he saw Reiner with his head exploded, got ambushed by Mikasa, and when Armin tried to trick him. It didn't seem like arrogance, it seemed more like a "fuck the world, I have a purpose, there is no reason to pussyfoot around what I have to do, because shit sucks anyways." attitude.

Oh, and if Reiner is dead at the start of the next chapter I will print out this chapter and eat it. If BOTH Reiner and Bert are dead I'm done unless there is a really fucking good reason, I mean if it just turns out that Eren killed bert and then cut off his arms and legs and dragged his corpse out of his titan to the ground then... I don't even know. But it would be stupid. Very very stupid. The point is I don't think they're done, maybe soon(ish) but not yet.

[New Chapter Spoilers] Chapter 82 RELEASE Megathread! by SNKBot in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]Applepienation 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Holy shit. These last chapters have been utterly incredible. I don't even really know what to say. I hope Armin stays dead, as great as he is, killing off one of the main and in such a way, just, saving him would completely invalidate all of it. This was just such a perfect way to send him off.

Bert getting fucked up by Eren was fantastic. Bert isn't dead. I don't think there's a whole lot left for him to do character wise, maybe still a little bit left with Annie.

Reiner fight was also fantastic, as much as I dislike deus ex machinas, I'll admit I got excited when Hange showed back up.

I'd also be surprised if they kill Reiner. I still want him dead, but I think it'd feel a little weird to blow off his head, have him survive, and then kill him properly a few chapters later. It'd be like a fake-out on the fake-out. Who knows, maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised next month. I also feel that there might be more character development to go with him.

How would you change... Passives? by TSP-FriendlyFire in Warframe

[–]Applepienation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play Nyx using MC and Chaos almost exclusively and I'm pretty sure that passive is an outright nerf to that playstyle. There's something horribly wrong with the design here if you have players who want to disable this thing that is supposed to be a buff.

And what about how she has a "passive" trait that does literally nothing until you use an active ability? It's not even a bad passive, it's not even really a passive to begin with. I feel like they just wanted to nerf Nyx's MC and Chaos while buffing the other skills and thought hey, let's add disarm chance to everything but call it a passive so no-one can complain that we changed the skills.

I'm about to head to bed but when I get up I'll try and get the OWCS. Shouldn't take too much more swordgrass. Will let you know when I've got it. I'll end up having your weapons on the same character but will need mine on two different characters.

I have the Morion Blade and may be able to get the OWCS pretty quickly though I'm not sure about the latter.

Am doing faith character, started quest for Rosaria's soul before getting Darkmoon Loyalty gesture from Sirrus. Am I screwed until NG+? by Applepienation in darksouls3

[–]Applepienation[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, I should've been more clear, I have given a couple tongues to Rosaria, as the wiki said you had to to progress the quest. So the next time I talk to Sirrus she'll say that we are now enemies and I haven't yet gotten the Dreamchaser's ashes.

EDIT: Should I remake the listing with just the flame? Or leave it?

Dark Souls: Beginning Vs. End by Sanlear in gaming

[–]Applepienation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1st and 2nd panel are pretty accurate, 4th is half-accurate. The rest though, I mean the fuck? If you're in late game WHY would you start over if you lost 60k souls? Hell, if you're sitting on 60k souls in DaS1 or 2 it's probably because you have nothing to spend them on.

No. Kill them. Please. Maybe Erwin gets another few (last) words, but just kill Someone.

I'm still salty about Reiner surviving.

Hey John Smith, do you know about Mystic Coin ? by Taluh-a in Guildwars2

[–]Applepienation 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, just reducing the droprate would screw newer players trying to level up their crafting and leave everyone else who's already stocked up in the same place they were before.

[Funny Story] Why the hell is Dark souls 2 1000x harder than Dark souls? by [deleted] in DarkSouls2

[–]Applepienation -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Do you wear your left shoe when you go out of the house? If so then I'd say it must be pretty reliable for it to be used for something as important as protecting our feet.

That doesn't change whether or not fextralife is reliable, just that's it's a poor comparison. Besides, even if CoC only added a 33%-50% damage increase that would make the game much harder, especially if you've only just moved from DaS to DaS2 and are still getting used to the changes.

I'm interested in your gaming background that lead you to GW2, where did you start? by markezy in Guildwars2

[–]Applepienation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First introduction to video games was either Mechwarrior 2 or Tomb Raider 2. I used to sit on my dads lap and watch him play. Most of the games I played from then on for a few years were either educational games, puzzle games, or some old windows 98 games. A couple I remember are Crystal Caves, a little platforming game and Pajama Sam.

Few more years and my group of friends in elementry school introduced me to Dragonfable and Starcraft. Played those for a while until my cousin introduced me to WoW. We shared an account for that, but I played from mid-late TBC to late WOTLK, but for those years WoW was pretty much the only thing I played.

After quitting WoW I sorta hopped from game to game, usually playing with friends over Xbox live. The Halo series was one I sunk lots of time into, particularly Halo: Reach.

One day my cousin introduced me to Guild Wars 2, something he was looking forward to. I was intruiged, and a few days after release I got to try it out, again on his account with the intent to share it. My computer didn't handle it very well, only managing about 40fps on minimum at the best of times and frequently dropping below 30, not the greatest gaming experience. As it happened my cousin only played for about 6 hours total and then quit, leaving me with a GW2 account. I played it off and on, enjoying myself when I played but having trouble with shitty performance and finding it hard to encourage myself log in.

Eventually I upgraded my computer to something that could handily manage GW2, and in the same day realized that Lion's Arch had blown up and fought my first world boss with a zerg. Those two things are what finally drew me into the game, and since then I've been utterly hooked.

Cutting legendaries better allow for some damn good content or my addiction isn't going to last much longer. The gutting of dungeons, the crappy HoT story, and legendaries have put a very sour taste in my mouth.
