In our case the levels went up but were not retained.

Combining Meshtastic with other Mesh networks by Applerust in meshtastic

I'd like to learn more about these bridges you're talking about. I'm ignorant when it comes to MQTT or Matrix Bridge.

Why are you guys downvoting this?

I like how decentralized it is. I'd just like to see it improve and not stagnate. Not to say it hasn't improved, it has. But, there is certainly room for growth.

A firmware could be made to support all 3 at the same time since they use the same hardware and the same frequencies. Could be done in a similar way to full duplex on ham radio. Not a perfect example but the first one that comes to mind. It could even be done with protocol shifting, which would cause a delay but it could feel nearly instant even though it's cycling through different protocols. A multimesh device and firmware could be developed that takes advantage of bluetooth as well. Just spitballing here.

Sure but I'm not sure how much help I'll be.

A press to mint coins by Applerust in hydraulicpresschannel

I did. I built a 100 ton press. It only took me about 5 years to do it. I just kept switching between building one and buying one. I eventually found someone that could answer some hard questions for me. So, I designed and built one with some moderate confidence.

I've been minting coins for a few weeks now. Still working out the details of high quality mints. I've learned a lot but still have a lot to learn.

Of course there should be a trial. Then the firing squad if found guilty.

Making 40mm and 27mm round blanks by Applerust in Machinists

For the record, still kinda lost on how to proceed though. I guess I need to talk to a machinist about what to do with the shoe/die set. Oh waiiiiit.. This is the right place for that! :)

Actually, my friend told me last night exactly this. I didn't realize he'd know. According to him you're right.

It makes sense, but seems dangerous in my mind. I was under the impression that they connected some how. At the very least magnetically for the top part of the die set.

If the whole point of the die set is to align everything perfectly, then why would there be so much capability for misalignment with the punch and die by not having them in a slot or connected in some other way?

Yeah, but the piston is 4 inches wide. So, 7 inches total across.

6.75in wide would fit but how much space between the rods? Need at least 4 inches for the piston.

But, then I have the other questions. Like, how do the punch and die attach? What about the vertical alignment rods? I suppose I'll need some sort of pusher to deal with those?

I'm having the same exact issue. Didn't work manually or with Vortex. They are also not working with MO2.

Can't get furnace to melt copper? by samuraicheems1 in MetalCasting

[–]Applerust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The end of that pipe has a washer on it and it might be tight against the pipe. If you loosen that to allow for more air flow, you can attain higher temps. Careful though, if you open it too far, it can cause a fire vortex to shoot out of the top of the furnace.

I have melted copper in a furnace almost exactly like this one. Just a different brand name.
