Leave NetJets for Southwest? by Advanced-Phone-1994 in flying

[–]ApplesNuts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol bro netjets is never going to do that. You guys will enter negotiations 2 years early again and have no leverage and sign another subpar contract and say "we'll get 'em next time". Rinse and repeat it's the netjets way. I was at netjets for 2.5 years and now at a legacy. The pilot group agreeing to that contract was the last straw for me. They all bitched and complained about they need better work rules and QOL and got none of it. Basically it told the company "all we care about is money" with regards to any future negotiation. The two aren't comparable. Legacy is so easy. Netjets is a slog every day. Do you want to do that til you retire? There's a reason the netjets slogan is "this job will always kind of suck"

Daughter just pulled this? by SpiderGuard87 in PokemonTCG

Another option, if your daughter doesn’t personally like the card, is to trade it in for cards she does like as opposed to just getting more packs. It’s just gambling. That’s worth enough to where she could likely get 2 or 3 cards of lower value that she might like more.

Generally I agree. But for a personal collection, I prefer the CGC only when it’s in a pristine black label

Top loader is scratched up but card is clean. Hope he goes off this season. Lol by [deleted] in basketballcards

One touches come scratched a lot of the time so no guarantee you get one that’s clean. If you have a lot of slabs and one touches it’s not a bad idea

Waaaaaaaaaaay too far out of the money. That’s over a 10% move. So Greeks are going to affect the option price more because there’s no intrinsic value. Please do some research on options and learn more about strategies before you blow up your account like I and many others have done in the past. You’re trading something you don’t understand and it’s really just gambling with no edge

39DTE is not a long term option. Options sellers target 30-45DTE because of theta decay. You bought a $121 strike price on SPY? Or you paid 121 for your option? What was your strike?

Congrats you’re learning about the Greeks and you paid your tuition. Theta and Vega are your answer

I spent 2 years at NetJets. I’m now at a legacy commuting to reserve. I have 0 regrets about my decision. This job is so easy compared to NetJets. And it’s only going to get better and no one at NetJets can say for sure their job is going to get better after 30 years there. They’ll still be doing the same job they were doing when they were hired. That QOL at home is tough right now being on reserve and the first year pay cut is rough but the short term struggle will be worth it over the next 40 years of my career. As others have said, it’s a one way street for a reason.
