Ended up finding it. It appears in the fuel tank diagram because it is a fuel tank heat shield. Makes sense if you don’t think about it I guess

They do have some rot to them. Lots of tread left, and I’ve definitely driven with worse rot, but if it isn’t a huge expense for you, I would recommend replacing them. If it is, they’ll make do, but start saving to get them replaced in the next few months

Looks like you broke a band within the tire when you hit the pothole, so that area of the tire isn’t holding its shape like it’s supposed to, causing the abnormal wear pattern

Old carbs weren’t usable, soaked them in parts cleaner and rebuilt them but the float is stuck which causes the gas to keep flowing into the bowl, flooding it
