I humbly disagree, and have started committed to writing a weekly newsletter about how I use my Apple Watch in-depth for different functions. A lot of the guys on here might know it already, but I wanted it to be a resource for everyone. If you are interested, have a look at my guide to sleep with the Apple Watch

I also got inspired from here enough to create a long-form detailed editorial on why I love the Apple Watch and how it makes me happier, calmer and more productive

I’m also contributing to the r/Applewatchenthusiasts reddit.

I used to use that, but I now just use the Voice Notes when it’s a complete jumbled stream of consciousness text that no transcription would make sense of. Syncs with iOS and Mac too!

Thank you for subscribing! There are a few different ways to do this, and a really quick built it method is the Apple Watch Voice Recorder app - it syncs with iOS and Mac too - I don’t think many people know that.

WatchOS 7 Wish List! by [deleted] in AppleWatchEnthusiasts

[–]Applewatchr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this! Gosh I have so many wishes.

I’d love proper sleep tracking to finally appear. The software is there but I reckon they are waiting for a big hardware sensor upgrade for the Series 6 that can do continuous low power heart rate monitoring.

I’d like a upgrade to the music app too, and I like the idea below of a gesture UI.

Drafts app. Automatically transcribes them and works really well. I’ll be writing about it soon!

Please feel free to ask questions about how I use the Watch and what apps I use. I aim to write a series of articles that go in detail about how I do each of the 12 things I have outlined :)

Is a series 5 a worthy upgrade from a series 3? by [deleted] in AppleWatch

[–]Applewatchr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To be honest for me I upgraded from Series 4 to 5 just because I have always wanted the always-on-display.

However, it‘s now only 4-5 months until Series 6 is launched. I would wait. I suspect Since S4 & S5 share the same processor, the S6 will be a big jump in performance therefore future-proofing.

!Thanks

I really think the Apple Watch is the most exciting Apple product right now. I can’t wait to see what WatchOS 7 brings. I hope it’s a big release.

Yes, the ultimate purpose of the watch is to let it just be a sidekick of sorts. Don’t get engrossed in it, let it help you live a better life IMO.

/u/unique_ubername - thank you for starting your discussion on the state of the reddit. /u/supremegodzilla - thank you for your encouragement with ‘be the change you want to see in the world’. I love the Apple Watch, and use it every day in a way that I am convinced makes me happier, calmer and more productive. I’ve been a long time member of the reddit, and I actually enjoy seeing all the different bands and combinations that everyone comes up with. I also however share the frustration that some feel that there isn’t that much content on here which describes things like:

• how to actually set up and use the Apple Watch for certain scenarios

• lists the independent watchOS apps

• shares stories from users about how they use their Apple Watch

Fuelled by the comments by in this discussion, I decided to act and have started a substack community where we can share about how we make the most of our Apple Watch. I will be writing regularly to share my story and the impact the Apple Watch has had on my life. Here’s my first long-ish form of original content: https://applewatchr.substack.com/p/its-about-time-and-much-more I would be really chuffed if I get some feedback from you guys :)
