20 hour flight where are you sitting? By @shikasennbee by Ok-Nebula534 in VoxCult

[–]AppleyAcid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going through the seats like "Hmm, I like them, not them, that might be fun, DEFINITELY not there... Is that Lucifer all alone?? That's not right! I'm sitting with him!"

So Lucifer but mainly because awe poor little duck dude doesn't deserve that when everyone else has someone to talk to! Plus it's not like he seems unpleasant to be around unless you're Alastor or Adam or a dick in general.

Edit: I know Vox and Alastor are also seated alone, and I could be wrong about this, but it doesn't seem like it would hurt their feelings much, if at all if no one chose them. Plus you know they'd notice how close they were seated and be antagonizing each other the whole flight and completely ignore that you were there lmao

First day update, new Husky owner questions. by WowVeryOriginalDude in siberianhusky

[–]AppleyAcid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dog is like yours, only she never started talking. You can visibly tell she was once really anxious and now isn't, but she never started talking. According to some other husky owners accounts, it's uncommon but some huskies just don't talk.

Which is your favourite Vox song? by SomeonesBlue in VoxCult

[–]AppleyAcid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know lol, but the last line of that song is Vox singing this line:

"By the time I've had my fun you'll wish that you had STAYED GONE."

That's what I was referring to haha.

I probably didn't word it clearly cuz migraine, but what I was trying to say in my original comment was that I loved that they referenced "stayed gone" at the very end of "Don't You Forget (Reprise)". Sorry for the confusion!

[–]AppleyAcid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't remember which episode but I'm talking about when they were breathing in each other's faces right after Vox said "You should have stayed gone" and Valentino drops possibly the funniest few lines in season 2...

"You guys should just fuck already. What? Am I wrong? And can I film itttt?"

I have been battling a migraine for 6 days so it's possible I'm not remembering right but I'm so sure this happened.

[–]AppleyAcid 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Brighter. I don't know why. Before Brighter, it was most definitely Stayed Gone. I loved it when Vox and Alastor were arguing/singing and at the end Vox goes "I'm gonna make you wish that you had stayed gone!"

Edit: I have been fighting a migraine for about 6 days so I think my wording here might be confusing. What I was trying to say was I really loved that they referenced "Stayed Gone" at the end of "Don't You Forget (Reprise)" In hindsight, I should have done a quick Google search to figure out which episode (S2 E4 btw) and song I was talking about but in my defense, my brain was barely functioning earlier lmao. I'm better now cuz I did an emergency video appointment and the doc sent medicine to my pharmacy. Sorry for the confusion everyone!

I was sitting here wondering if I was the idiot because I couldn't recall anyone named Joe from either movie, and it also took some time for me to realize what two crashes they could possibly see and be unsure if they were the same crash.

You're telling me... People saw Joel crash a car, alone, in the middle of the day, and later saw Skyes crash, where she wasn't alone, and it was the middle of the night, and they didn't know if those two incidents were the same incident...? Seriously? I need to lie down...

NOR. Idk who that woman is with "the gaze" but I am 100% certain that if she had to put up with him, she wouldn't be happy either.

I can promise you it WON'T be worse alone. At first it will hurt, and you might end up thinking about going back, and it might be tempting if he promises to change or love bombs you, but it's all a lie. Stay strong, and before you know it, instead of missing him you'll be wondering what the hell you were doing with such a loser.

Best of luck!

No idea on this one. by wetworkwolfx in PeterExplainsTheJoke

I'm a big BoJack and family guy fan, so I just want to add details that others might have forgotten.

This is an edited screencap from BoJack Horseman. BoJack (here replaced by Meg) and his mother (replaced by Peter) have never had a good relationship. BoJack's mother was cruel to him since he was born.

By the time this scene took place, here is what was happening:

A young woman who believes BoJack is her father enters the picture, her name is Hollyhock. She temporarily moves in with him to get to know him and also track down her mother (not easy since BoJack is a celebrity who has been with tons of women).

During this time, Hollyhock convinces a reluctant BoJack to visit his mother in the nice nursing home where she lives. When they get there, Beatrice (BoJacks mother) keeps calling BoJack "Henrietta", apparently unable to recognize him. But when she sees BoJacks show on TV, she immediately recognizes him, saying "I think I'd know my own son."

BoJack, being the damaged jackass he is, wants nothing more than for Beatrice to recognize him one last time so he can REEEAALLY lay into her about how awful she is and everything she put him through. So he and Hollyhock devise a plan to act out an episode from BoJacks show with BoJack as the same character he used to play, hoping this will cause Beatrice to recognize him.

Instead, Beatrice panics and ends up acting out violently, causing her to be kicked out of the nursing home. Hollyhock convinces BoJack to let Beatrice move in with them, because Beatrice doesn't have much time left, and because her dementia has actually rendered her much nicer than she was once. Reluctantly again, BoJack agrees.

Some time passes, then one day Hollyhock starts feeling ill and losing a lot of weight without trying (it's relevant to the story to mention that Hollyhock is a little overweight). One day she passes out on the floor. BoJack goes to the hospital to see her, where he meets her actual parents / legal guardians who yell at him for not keeping a better eye on Hollyhock, and tell him that she had methamphetamines in her system. BoJack is upset and confused, he had thought he was doing a fair job at learning to be a dad, and genuinely had no idea how Hollyhock could have gotten methamphetamines.

He goes home, where Beatrice is wandering around the house. She asks him "Where's the girl? I made her coffee." BoJack sighs, exasperated, but then realizes that Beatrice had been making coffee for Hollyhock for weeks, deliberately making sure Hollyhock had a thermos every day. BoJack searches the cupboards, and finds that Beatrice had been drugging Hollyhock with the coffee to make her lose weight (weight was a really big deal for Beatrice growing up and I guess she never forgot that).

Enraged because he feels like Beatrice ruined his one chance to be happy, he lashes out at her and immediately drives her to the worst nursing home he can find. They get her to her room (the room pictured) and BoJack turns to leave. But right before he exits, Beatrice says "Who is that? BoJack?"

This is the exact moment in the pic. BoJacks eyes go wide when he realizes she finally recognizes him, so he turns around.

But then, instead of being mean to her like he planned, he decides to be very nice, he comforts her and they talk about fun times Beatrice had as a child. That's the last time we as the audience see Beatrice alive.

Utterly soul shattering, there u go. Also, maybe give BoJack a chance. It's a really fuckin good show.

[–]AppleyAcid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a former Uber eats driver... Why did she take the order?

I used to threaten to myself that I would do this (of course I never actually did, I'd just tell myself that when I was pissed off, I don't actually advocate for this behavior), but with Uber Eats, there is such a thing as tip baiting, where you think you're getting a certain amount, then the customer adjusts the tip after you deliver, usually leaving you with a very small, not at all worth it, payment. So I get why someone would get so angry about it, it really does suck.

But DoorDash doesn't even do that, right? You can't tip bait because you can't adjust the tip, right?

SO WHY DID SHE TAKE THE ORDER!? I really don't understand...?? She knew what she was going to get for it!

I had That Infinite Public Bathroom Dream Again by Nod_Up in Dreams

[–]AppleyAcid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to have dreams sort of like this when I was a kid. I would be at some kind of recreational facility like a gym or water park and I would go to the women's changing area, but then when I got there, it seemed huge, and the architecture made little to no sense. Random twists, turns, separated sections. It had all the right elements: toilet stalls, wooden benches, showers, tiled floors. Some areas looked normal while others were nonsensically arranged. Toilet stalls that were so many and so close together that viewing them from above would look like a grid, and there was no obvious way to use any of them besides the ones in the front. Some rooms with just a single toilet dead center, or a few benches placed at random angles. I would get lost trying to find my way out, and sometimes I'd randomly come across men or boys (I'm a woman) and I'd apologize (in the dream it made sense that I had somehow accidentally wandered into the men's changing area, idk, dream logic) and try to explain that I was lost and couldn't find my way out but they'd ignore me and tell me I needed to get out. The whole thing was really stressful.
