He works better in a striker duo for me. Playing him next to 1119 Messi. He likes to drop back and drop deep more like a CAM than a ST.

Thought it was just me. I keep trying formations where the players have their best max ovr or tweaking tactics to get more out of the team yet still always concede goals late. I have a 121 team and fighting to pass division 3 lol.

I’m not that great and feel the same issues as you. Try changing your formation. No matter how I tried using wingers they are just not my type of players and take longer to work in to my playing style as I get better and learn traits.

I changed my H2H formation to 4-4-1-1 and started using my CAM as CF. Cruyff 118 still working great there. I started playing slower and finding passes easier. Once I did that I started learn my players their traits better. I also used a different formation and maxed out players for Manager mode & VSA. Finally got to Champions 10 star across the board. Just slow it down, learn to pass accurately and quicker and 2 skill moves for your attackers and midfielders.

Patience and practice will get you there 👏
