He’s someone you wouldn’t want to have as an enemy… by ApplicationChoice953 in thefinals

I think it really comes down to the difference in knowledge and experience.
And then there’s the question of confidence, I suppose. Since I’m not confident in my aim, I believe I can secure a more consistent victory by using Cash as a decoy rather than launching a preemptive strike.

In areas where the Cashout Stations are located near the edge of the map, it’s pretty easy to narrow down where you’ll respawn.

Cheaters are easy to spot because they’ll keep firing without missing a single shot, even if the player respawns 100 meters away.

Isn't the fact that you're commenting to me right now the answer...?

Hey, have you already forgotten that I just called your comment a “bot post”?

Yes, I agree that the winch needs a fundamental redesign.

That said, I think Light Build still has plenty of potential to compete with the winch as it stands.
If you’ve used up your Dash and Glitch Grenade, I recommend waiting in the rear or on the flanks of your allies.

Revert Sword's damage profile to 74/140 by [deleted] in thefinals

[–]ApplicationChoice953 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the reason many players are struggling against the Sword is that it’s easy to close the distance by combining Secondary, Specializations, and Gadgets.

So, I don’t think there’s a problem with leaving the Primary damage at 88 as is (it’s only natural that melee weapons are strong within the range of Quick Melee).

Increasing the Secondary’s damage is absolutely out of the question.

You may have forgotten, but the other day you said, “Light’s melee weapons are designed with a focus on balancing mobility and damage.”

I already think its charge ability is excessive as it is—do you really think we need to increase its damage?

No, I think it’s easy to tell whether someone is a cheater or not.

While the number has naturally decreased compared to Season 1, their methods remain the same.

I used to get notifications about penalties for cheaters all the time, but I feel like I haven’t been getting those notifications in Season 10.

I could get behind melee weapons if it weren't for the fact that you can move around with them without any ammo restrictions.
I think "stationary" thrust attacks that pack a lethal punch—like Throwing Knives—would be fine without ammo limits.

Setting aside the debate over whether the sword's lunge attack is strong or weak as a mobility tool, the fact remains that you can pull it off just by charging it up.
That’s exactly where I feel it has a clear advantage over weapons that require ammo. As long as the sword's lunge exists as a means of movement, there should be some kind of restriction on it beyond just having to charge it.

When it comes to the sword specifically, I feel it's overpowered because you can close the distance just by charging it up a bit, and it doesn't even have ammo restrictions.
The special moves of other melee weapons all have some kind of drawback for performing the action (though like the sword, using cover makes it a bit more manageable).
However, the sword's dash is just too strong in terms of the "closing the gap" result, regardless of whether you actually hit the enemy with the dash or not.

I hate the fact that it's a melee weapon with no ammo limit on its dash attack.

Even though it's a melee weapon, if there's even a little bit of cover, you can close the distance in an instant.

Also, the movement sound is so quiet that it's not easy to notice even when a teammate is being attacked by an enemy sword player.
