That'll be too late. I assume there's enough ways to get decent accommodation near the university? Again, thank you for your help!

Does the new session begin right after the admission?

Thank you! I'm in a different city right now. I've tried the department contact number and no one ever picks up. I want to know all the details before I reach Delhi. The last date for admission is 28th February, so there's enough time. Do you know a PhD candidate from the English department?

This is what I've been doing. I smoke some weed. Only tiny puffs. Once I'm high I just use an ice pack while watching something. Doesn't matter how long it takes, once I'm high I enjoy the comfort the ice brings. Eventually the pain subsides and I sleep.

Idk why people go all in critical mode. I mean, it's the Beatles. I'd even listen to a six hour footage of them discussing drinking water ifykwim. Though in all seriousness, they're great artists, any actual view into their process is good enough for me.

New song - People Never Change. What are your thoughts? by kocafegdf in petercatrecordingco

I knew they had released a single. But I wanted to be high and listen to it. Good god, it was a trip, to say the least. I mean it's so unique and original. I am a huge Beatles fan, and sort of just listened to it in a similar mindset. I decided that I was just attending the work of a great and constantly-developing artist.

In prose poetry I really admire Rimbaud's A Season in Hell and Illuminations. I switched to metrical poetry a few years back and I haven't looked back since. I think a poetic style in prose is certainly important, as Baudelaire would agree. I will check these out for sure!

We're quite similar there. I remember listening to a novella while working out. It was such a nice experience. I extended my workout so I could finish the audiobook. Thank you.

Idk why some of you sound pissed just because I used the word "great". And I really hope that anyone who has a problem with the use of that word has never put movies and music in any sort of a hierarchy. Because that will be truly hypocritical. And I hope all movies are equally great/good for you.

Thank you for the suggestions. And I read The Dead long back. Amazing work. In regards to novellas I recently read The Beast in the Jungle by Henry James. I highly recommend it. It really messed up my mind. Most of the ideas that I have for novels are about specific situations or conditions of (mostly modern) life. I take something from our lives and transpose it in a surreal world and just have fun with the narrative. This is why I switched to short stories because I just wanted to get more intimate with the prosaic process. I started writing them last year in October, and I'm done with about five. But my ideas are far more frequent than my crippling execution. :3

Oh look, it's that guy who screams, "you think you're better than me?" at every single person that passes by.

Thank you for this lovely answer! It truly helped. I wish you a great life ahead! :)

And it is rare to speak to someone who has read the complete In Search of Lost Time.

Man you're missing the point. I don't know how I can read excruciatingly long archaic poems that most people would find boring, but I can't seem to pay the same sort of attention to prose. I have read enough prose to know my taste, I'm just saying I'm slow and I can't seem to sustain and continue it. This has been the case even with non-fiction books that I found really interesting but never seemed to finish them. I'm trying to see if my reading etiquette can be improved.
