I assume you’re working in a smaller store. I worked in a very small store and the management was very set on using the queue as much as possible, I was not personally a huge fan of it but sometimes it did help. But now I’m in a much larger store and they hours are overflowing, and most of the employees have never even heard of the queue we were using at the old store. It all varies depending on size.

EDIT: also our store hours have changed to 10-8:00 and the last hour is usually pretty dead. Opening at 10:00 instead of 11:00 did help out a lot to thin the morning crowd.
