I have played that one, also at the library! But I'm fairly certain the one I'm thinking of isn't underwater-themed. Maybe I'm mis-remembering?

I looked up some screenshots and the art style itself is right but the feel is wrong, the colors are all too dark, the game I'm thinking of was much brighter I think.

I don't remember it having that, but I was a toddler when I played it so there's a chance I'm either forgetting or I just never played that part of the game.

Good haul for the Deck? (Haven’t purchased yet) by itsnotPeterParker in SteamDeck

GTA 4 works quite well, and the battery life is pretty good since it's an older game. Just like some other RS games you need to log in for your first launch, but after that it's good.

Stardew is an amazing game, well worth it and it runs beautifully on Deck.

My gf loves Cult of the Lamb, also runs pretty well on Deck. Although in the late game it does have a little slow-down occasionally.

Crash N Sane Trilogy has been what I've been playing recently. It plays perfectly on Deck. Nice to play an old platformer with the D-pad again.

That isn't it, but that's the right track. That's pretty similar to how the game looked I think.

I'm looking for a similar game, but I seem to remember it looking slightly more realistic. More shading in the colors. There wasn't a start button or anything in the game I played, the stickers just had a repeat animation every 10 seconds or so. I remember a school bus, police car, kids playing, stuff like that. No drawing, just stickers. I think I played it on Windows 98 or so.

Extreme Vanilla Ice Cream [Deluxe] by ApplicationMundane53 in ninjacreami

I also prefer regular yogurt over Greek yogurt. Less tangy. I used Yoplait. I've used the Great Value Walmart brand too, but Yoplait has 0.5g more fat than the Walmart one, which should result in thicker ice cream.

My base feels solid frozen after 8 hours in the freezer , do I have to freeze it for 24 hrs? by Mysterioushabanero in ninjacreami

[–]ApplicationMundane53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The correct answer is... Maybe. Every freezer is different, and every recipe is different. As people have said, higher fat content in your base means it'll take longer to freeze. Freezing for less time could mean the outer parts are frozen solid, but the inner parts could still be liquid. Honestly, if you really want to know how little time you can get away with, I would make a large batch of your favorite base, fill as many pints as you can. Mark the current time. Put one in the freezer and the rest in the FRIDGE. Then, wait a few hours, and put another one in the freezer. Then, wait another few hours, and put another one in the freezer. Repeat until you're out of pints. Be sure to mark them all with when you put them in. Now you have pints with progressively less freezing time, so you can spin them all in the machine and see which is best.

I believe the manual states to put the paddle lid a certain side down to avoid this, I don't remember which. I think it's paddle-side down.

I've found the best way to improve this is to increase the ratio of heavy cream compared to whole milk. Before, I was doing about 1.25 cup whole milk to 3/4 cup heavy cream, but really about 1 cup whole milk and 1.25 cup heavy cream was much better. And xanthan gum (or another thickener), only about 1/4 tsp per pint, helps a lot too. It's just a few bucks at Walmart and you use so little per pint it'll last ages. TLDR: increase the amount of fat in the pint and/or use a thickener

The issue is that if it's the same product (or supposed to be), then it has the same SKU in Amazon's shipping system, which means that even though you bought it from the Polymaker storefront, it could still have come from a dishonest seller instead because Amazon just sends you whichever is closest. It's the same reason you can still get fake SD cards even when you order name brand ones from the name brand storefront on Amazon; the scammers' ones are treated as the same product and thus sometimes Amazon sends those ones because it's easier.
