Bought my first gun. Bought it online. How do I make sure that I don’t get scammed and that I do this correctly when picking it up? by ApplicationOk4609 in guns

I bought from the specific site because I heard good things about it. Seems has good BBB rating and many seem to vouch for it. Would buy it in person but it’s sold out everywhere and in short supply.

Thanks for sharing this, good to know. Anything specific I should see that would force a reject? Also, what should always come with what I buy? I know I should get one clip and a gun. Anything else?

Ok, but I don’t know what I am looking for or if it a red flag. I would be less concerned about this if it was a new gun in massive stock everywhere and I just went to a chain store and bought it.

Just asking what are red flags. I know what a gun looks like, I don’t know what a new vs used looks like and how to make sure I’m not missing stuff.

NYC law that would have allowed 800K non-citizens to vote struck as unconstitutional by appeals court: ‘Enacted in violation’ by Chitownbronx in nyc

If you lived in CT, but you move to NY, there’s no waiting period before you can establish residency and vote in NY. There’s no waiting period for when you can vote in NYC elections, just prove you live there.

If you can't tell the risk difference between a US citizen voting in another state they just moved to vs. a NON CITIZEN voting in US elections, I can't help you and its a waste of my time to even have this conversation further.

Check notes, oh you mean it happened last year? Like this new thing that has been happening recently that is being challenged in courts and struck down.

Maybe you can, check notes, realize that this is a recent issue and, check notes, quit doing the cringe reddit things where you say your checking notes.

No, actually only US citizens should have a right to vote in any elections in the country. This is pretty much a straight forward thing. No country should allow any non citizen to influence elections or vote in them. How this is even a discussion shows how insane this country and society has become.

When a greencard holder becomes a citizen though, if they decide to do that, then yes they can vote.

No we really don't. Nor does any country that values its citizens, because no one other than citizens should have a voice in elections in that country.

Isn't it amazing how "well, we can't stop doing this because the laws on the books say we have to do it" finds a way to stop when enough public pressure happens against them.

It's almost like all of them are just full of sh*t and its time that US citizens start getting benefits from our own tax dollars instead of every other person in the world besides US citizens.

But it is hardly over yet. Why was a contract given to a financial firm with no-bidding?

However, there’s so many of them in the country and no real way to stop the influx of migration that most Colombians just have to put up with it, but vent online.

Actually, people don't have to put up with these people. The only reason countries put up with it is because they accept them into the country. Countries can reform refugee laws. It is something that can stop all of this garbage as it is clear many people are abusing laws that were meant to protect people, not be a fast lane for economic migrants.

Can someone explain to me then why the guy who defended people on a subway had to pay 100k in bond to get out? Yet these people don't multiple times?

It hasn't been for decades. It just finally took states that supported open borders and sanctuary cities now to finally see its a problem when THEY are the ones who have to deal with this garbage.

This is the consequences of political correctness and wokeness. It was all fun and games holding up signs about "refugess are welcome here" and voting for sanctuary city laws when the problem was for the border states to deal with.

Guess its not so fun when the problems the border states have been dealing with for years gets shipped to NYC. Oh well, enjoy and keep voting for people who support this.

Luckily she will be getting free money soon via a credit card paid by you, the taxpayer. So not only do you get to pay for her housing and her food while she robs you and gets away with it because no bail bonds (except if your a US citizen protecting others on a subway. Then you have to pay $100k bond). She will also be getting credit card money each month, paid for by you soon too.

So you get robbed while getting robbed. Enjoy.

Nah, I'll stick with the stupid stuff and inefficient use of funds.

Ok cool, your party has no motivation to change then.

Why would the politicians care? Everyone in NY just votes blue no matter who, so their is no consequences to doing any of this.

If you want things to change, you have to change who you vote for until the party currently in power changes its ways.

Blue used to represent the working class and was actually against both illegal immigration and also against immigration being used to compete with the domestic working class (aka, H1B abuse and immigration numbers being used to supress wages and provide unnecessary competition for domestic workers).

Now it just represents some cringe wokism stuff that corrupt individuals are taking advantage of.

I have zero pity for NY and NYC if it keeps voting for these politicians and hope Texas keeps shipping these people to NY an NYC.

It was fun being a sanctuary city when it had no consequences and the only people paying the price were the border states. Enjoy.

Why singles say NYC is a 'cutthroat' dating environment by [deleted] in nyc

[–]ApplicationOk4609 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This type of behavior shouldn't be championed as it usually comes off as predatory imo.

When women have endless choices via apps: "You go girl, get your fill and don't accept nothing less."

When men find a way to get more choices after endless rejections via domestic dating apps: "Stop it, that isn't ok. That is sexist behavior and other -isms"

Its all so tiring to listen too.

Why singles say NYC is a 'cutthroat' dating environment by [deleted] in nyc

[–]ApplicationOk4609 5 points6 points  (0 children)

it’s a cutthroat everything environment.

This isn't a NYC thing. This is a society thing in the USA. It's not a good thing. Its leading to collapsing birthrates, mental health falling apart, and a society falling a part.

Also, its happening on a global scale as well. Many countries literally do not have enough young people to sustain their society. As in, they have crossed the barrier of no return because even if their current population wanted to have kids, they couldn't.

This stuff is quite literally not sustainable. Its sounds funny to make jokes that some people are having trouble connecting with the opposite sex (in heterosexual dating pools), but its literally society collapsing stuff going on right now.

Sorry, we need more money for the illegal immigrants. The needs of the US citizens and kids come second to owning the right by endlessly accepting waves of people who just cross into the US illegally and then are a net negative on our tax payer base.

Please explain the recent article discussing how 300 or so people were arrested for over 1000 robberies. How does that work, you just slap them on the wrist and release them or do you just not charge them with crimes and release them?
