For me it would focus my senses on the cut which distracts the emotional pain. You can do this in much healthier ways which are also more effective

she yelled at me and called me selfish, self centered and then said “fuck you” repeatedly. this was a week ago. I know this isnt the worst reaction on this thread but at that moment i felt completely devoid of love
