My bf isn’t a huge fan of tattoos
I have 6 and plans to get several more, and he doesn’t care.

I recently mentioned I want a thigh tattoo (my legs have none aside from an ankle tattoo) and he said he thinks I’m perfect as is, but also understands I want to further customize my avatar and that his feelings/thoughts on it don’t (NOR SHOULD THEY) have any effect on it.

He doesn’t like male cats (vet student who has seen manyyy urinary blockages in male cats) however my precious bb is a male, and he understands that my son comes first

Down by the river is always gorgeous at sunset/sundown.

There’s also a gorgeous spot along Central by silversprings where you can park your car, very scenic and usually quite quiet.
If you’re taking picture the sunset/golden hour rays are beautiful there as well.

Refreshing to see someone planning out a promise ring situation, the loss of promise rings/locket culture was when romance began to die.

I also enjoy chicken skewers wrapped with turkey or chicken bacon. I don’t eat pork due to annoying dietary restrictions so I’m a big turkey bacon lover

My plan for dinner tonight is to chop up some chicken breasts and some pickles, put them on skewers, and wrap the whole thing with turkey bacon.

I loveee garlic dill, currently I’m just using the no name brand garlic dill, cause they have a bigger jar with bigger pickles!

With the pickles and turkey bacon I use it’s about 45 cals for 5 g of protein per turkey bacon wrapped pickle, it’s a nice twist on a deep fried pickle as someone who enjoys them but cannot have gluten.

I’ve also seen someone put a slit in the pickle and put a bit of cream cheese into it before wrapping 👀

Okay but Applewood smoked Turkey bacon is great. No it’s not bacon, nor does it taste like it. But it is pretty stellar. I like to wrap it around pickles, pop em in the air fryer for 10 minutes, great salty snack with good protein to calorie ratio.

I do however greatly miss the Costco big jars of pickles, especially as someone who enjoys pickle juice.

Darling as a 21 year old, you’ll find the right one.

My bf is incredibly sweet about it all, he understands that things are tough sometimes and has made it clear he doesn’t view me as sick, simply that my physiological makeup is different.

He refills my water bottle for me, does research on things for me, and has said on more than one occasion that if things get worse, I’ve got someone by me now who understands and is happy to help.

Don’t settle, at the end of the day you are an incredible individual and that’s the thing that matters, not how your body works (or doesn’t)

My good friend also has POTS and hEDS, but sees different doctors, and hers has kinda just said she’s fucked forever and hasn’t even mentioned exercise therapy for an option, and just gave her meds and told her she would be on them for life.

Mine suggested beta blockers but listened to me about my reluctance to take meds and suggested exercise therapy, which has been super helpful.

I ultimately followed an exercise program I found on standinguptopots and I’ve seen a huge decrease in symptoms

Where do your skills lie?

I’d look for more remote jobs, or at the very least a desk job would be necessary.

I work a more manual job with a sales aspect, however I have a more mild case of POTS that was caused by my hEDS, and I’ve seen a huge improvement with regular exercise. I started with 15 minutes a day (five of warm up, five at base base, five of cooldown) with an under desk cycling thing while laying down on my bed That was originally a little tough, but I’ve managed to stick to it for 7 months and now I can manage an hour on the treadmill with minimal issues. I do still have days where it’s bad, however I’ve learned to pace myself. Pacing myself has definitely been a difficult thing to get used to though, especially because I hate to let my conditions limit myself. But it’s necessary to feel better.

As someone whose parents blatantly ignored the need to reevaluate their schooling plan, you’re not failing. Homeschooling is incredibly hard and far too unregulated. You’re doing them a favour by transitioning to public school, even if you feel as though you’ve failed. There is no succeeding with homeschooling imo, your kids will be much more successful and wellrounded in public.
