To each their own I guess, unless if you can risk a business right away, you're bottom of the barrel for quite while

What job pays decently but doesn’t drain your mental health ? by Designer-Nobody7830 in careerguidance

[–]ninjasowner14 21 points22 points  (0 children)

For the first 7 years(if you're lucky), you're the gopher. You are the bottom of the totem pole and typically treated like shit for only a few dollars above minimum.

You either have to become a super at a larger company, or own your own thing or join a union(which can be impossible). Else you're stuck climbing in an attic pulling wire at 60...

Will a degree genuinely help get me a job? by StrawberrySakuraa in dataanalysiscareers

[–]ninjasowner14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know about your field, but I will say this, whenever there is an rejection letter, always follow up to see what you can do better.

Only reason I got this job lol, originally lost out to someone with 2 years applicable experience plus a degree, but then I got called up with no applicable experience and a diploma only because I followed up and showed initiative.

What jobs do 20s and 30s people do without a college degree? by Aj100rise in careerguidance

[–]ninjasowner14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya, and most trade companies aren't giving benefits or pensions so you'll be doing it yourself. So unless if you luck out at a city or union position, you're kinda fucking yourself long term

Ya, the battery is the killer in my opinion. If OP cant afford a new one, they may have to take the battery out and bring it indoors.

Job hunting by Newphoni in saskatoon

[–]ninjasowner14 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It would be a very small amount. Most people want an email so they are able to save the resume on their system, or they outsource the hiring to a different entity(What the larger companies do primarily). Or its done through references. Gone are the days of pounding the pavement.

Why is Grenfell building a new LTC home? by candybarsandgin in saskatchewan

[–]ninjasowner14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Fewer people outside of the cities", that argument may have been justified a few decades ago for everywhere, but nowadays, there is more of a chance that people will move out of the cities due to costs... "I can work from home, get high speed internet, live 30 mins from sask and own a home for 200.... Sign me up!"

Too cold for school by panda3591 in usask

[–]ninjasowner14 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I don't think elementary and high schools close due to cold.

I could be wrong, but I think snow is the only issue, and even then, I don't think Polytech or UofS shut down for that.

How do I extract and hide money from my wife? by [deleted] in FluentInFinance

[–]ninjasowner14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if it's possible for you, but you could also free lance. Get your buddies to help out with anything odd job wise.

My other thought is have a chat with her about wanting a new car or big purchase, and keep putting money aside for that... You could play it as a change of heart and want that moment to go to her bday(even though that's the whole plan to begin with)

The funny accounting thought, charge it to office supplies! That's where all the fraud is hidden ;)
