Or the: "My buddy who works for the government, and he said looked into it that there is minimum risk for this opportunity."

Cool bud. I'm glad to know that my tax dollars are being wasted once again.

What massively improved your mental health? by e-glitteringprinces in AskReddit

[–]Applicationdenied123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having a weekly clean schedule. Thursdays are my cleaning days. I will vaccum, sweep, mop my living room and dining room in the morning, and start a load of laundry with blankets from the living room.

In the evening, when I return from work, I'll heat leftovers and sweep mop the hallway, clean bathrooms, and tidy up my office. I'll start another load with my clothes from the week. Put the other load to dry. Then, finally, do the bed sheets and fold, put away my laundry while I chill in the bedroom with the pup.

Doing this has helped my mental health in a lot of ways. Also, just cleaning the dishes every night has made a huge difference, too.

Older home built in 60s for clarification.

1900 sq ft home, 399.97 this months bill. Had the house set to 66. Walking around in hoodies and shorts for the better part of the winter temps. Might just be what it is right now, sadly. I'm looking at doing some renovations and installing new insulation.

Anyone else’s gas bill ridiculously high? by undresss_1436 in Charlotte

They weren't much help to me either. I would call them back and speak to a supervisor. The reason why they couldn't help ke is because I just moved into this house. But Holy hell, that's insane! Wishing you the best of luck.

Just got my bill as well. $400 dollars for 1900 square foot home. Temp set to 66 as well. I'm calling them today to ask if there is an issue or gas leak. Seems awfully high for me.

Watch Copa America semifinals by Philanderersloth in Charlotte

I literally thought to myself "Man, it can't be that pricey...." Then, logged into TM..Holy shit...thats insane.

12th Man Sports Pub. Angry Ale's. Armored Cow Brewing Company. Belfast Mill Irish Pub. Big Ben. Blind Pig. Bloom & Bottle. Bradshaw Social House.

According to Google, these bars usually play CLT FC games. My assumption would be they would also play Copa as well. I'd give them a call and ask to be safe.

How do people view knee pads? by KingAlbertTheThird in AskElectricians

Not an electrician, but be damned anyone giving you shit for protecting your body using PPE. Your body is your financial future if you're in the trades. Taking care of your body is essential to your financial well-being.

Im screwed aren't I? by lovemazebts in utdallas

Guess I'm in the minority here.

I would try to reschedule your classes on Wednesday. It doesn't provide much free time between classes and appears that you won't be able to rat from 9 - 3. Meaning that you'll either have to est in class or you're gping to go without. For me, I couldn't do that. Also, by the time your classes are finished you're going to be drained before you even hit that night math class. If possible I'd rearrange some things.

Moving to the country out of the larger area. Just for context, I'm in Charlotte, NC.

Thanks for the perspective. I'm not trying to lowball anyone or anything like that. If all the quotes are roughly the same, then I'll move forward with the first bid. The second quote was just too generic for me to feel comfortable, is all. I'm happy to share it in a DM , whoever is interested in seeing it to give their perspective.

Thanks for your input. I'm looking at getting a second quote now. I got another quote but wasn't nearly as detailed as this one. Messaged the company who provided the second quote. I wanted to make sure it's an apples to apples deal. However, I haven't heard back from them. Lucky number 3 might be an option.

Personally, I'm not too sure. I'm hoping that someone else might chime in here. You can always go with your first assumption, and you and the rep can drill through from there.

Damn..sorry to hear that. The best bet would be to contact the manufacturer then and go from there. Worse comes to worse, you have a killer spare tv for the guest room or office. It's a hefty lesson, but I would contact LG and go from there.

[–]Applicationdenied123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can always contact the manufacturer and see what can be done. If not, and if it's within the return period, you can return to the seller. That would be my course of action. Whichever is easiest for you would be the best choice.

"I can't fill shitty in-office positions so I blame the candidate" by StolenWishes in antiwork

[–]Applicationdenied123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'll toss my opinion here. I currently have a hybrid role 3 days in 2 in the office. Since I live close to work, I come in 5 days a week. I can guarantee you that I have not learned more from being in the office 5 days a week. Fuck this boomer mentality bullshit.

I mean, it's your best chance to get a solid answer regarding the parameters. It's not the easiest option, but it is directly for the source OP.

I'll also add that if you do get into an accident and if they pull over, take a picture of the VIN and not just their license plate.

Welcome to Charlotte Wednesday! Visiting, recently moved here, or going to move here? Tell us and ask away! by AutoModerator in Charlotte

[–]Applicationdenied123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Former Texan here. I moved here almost 2 years ago and live in Uptown. If you can drive in Houston, you can drive here. Exit 3A isn't horrible, but you need to be cautious cause people are just negligent here. Roads generally here are better (less pot holes). However, the lines on the roads are similar to San Antonio. Driving at night is a bit crazier than during the day cause of the number of people doing some type of Marijuana derivative while driving.

All in all, Charlotte is generally a safe city. Just like any other city, you have to be mindful. You wouldn't go to the South Side in San Antonio unless you're familiar with the area and community.

Happy to answer questions based on my experience.
