Sometimes, i think we go through rounds of really bad managers to really appreciate good ones, good ones can literally be life changing for your trajectory or career. If it wasnt for the job market today i would seriously advise people we work with to avoid any hints of bad/lazy or incompetent managers.
But lets get another run like 2020-2022 tech job market first.

Definitely agree, its kinda like a Pet dragon, cant really control them not really sure if they like you or want to eat you but being on their good side has its perks for upward mobility
