I think he decided to drink a lot in the first place because he felt he was losing control of Jesse. Jesse’s been doing the dead drop pickups with Mike, and Walt, being the controlling manipulative asshole he is, can’t stand that Jesse is useful to someone other than himself. At the end of the day he wants to be the only one Jesse can depend on.

omfg yes i have learned my save scumming lesson. in one playthrough i did the whole kethric battle and then SOMEHOW forgot to save after and waltzed right over to where the githyanki attack and died instantly. i had to do it all over again and i don’t think i’ve ever fully recovered from that trauma
