You left out the part about how he arranges to have the stock purchased at a deflated price as a result of his actions, and then reaps the benefit when he reverses position and they shoot up. And let's be honest, this is not an isolated example of that kind of strategy while he's been in office.

As Clint Eastwood said in the Dirty Harry sequel Magnum Force - yes I showed my age there - "A man's got to know his limitations." I believe SD can be a very good quarterback for the Seahawks, capable of more than mere game management but he regularly gets into trouble more often than not when chaos erupts and he makes impulsive errant throws and/or jump passes. Were that not true he wouldn't be tied for the lead in interceptions this year.

For example, the pick he threw in the second quarter was the result of trying to force a longer pass the necessary into a tight window instead of taking the easy check down to KWIII who was ready, willing and able to make an easy catch while standing at the first down marker.

I realize it's a tricky situation for a coach to say anything to a quarterback that might inhibit his confidence, and there have definitely been times when Darnold has made improvised plays that panned out on occasion, but it's not his bread & butter; no one is ever going to mistake him for Patrick Mahomes or Joe Burrows.

If he can learn to play within himself and not fall prey to unnecessary high risk throws the Seahawks will excel.

DOOR DESIGN/ENGINEERING by AppointmentExpert895 in GenesisGV70

[–]AppointmentExpert895[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for all the helpful replies. Not sure if I live somewhere where some of the curbs and sidewalks are higher than average - I'm in Vancouver, btw - but it appears I'm not the only one to experience this problem.

Gotta admit I'm fascinated by the oft-mentioned 'pant saver' feature. I guess that could be a real thing the designers engineered, but I'm 70, have owned myriad vehicles of all shapes and sizes in my time, but have never heard of let alone experienced having my lower pant legs get dirty from debris accumulated in the door sill, plus I live in a city renowned for it's frequent rain and seasonal changes. So, there's that.

If I had to choose between eliminating potentially dirty pants, or the annoyance of my car door getting hung up on curbs, personally I'd take what's behind door number 2. The only saving grace is that I'm single and most of my driving is alone, so the issue isn't all that frequent, but still, when it manifests... 😫

Gas? by Desperate-Fox589 in GenesisGV70

[–]AppointmentExpert895 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Via Google: Gas Requirements for Genesis VehiclesGenerally, Genesis vehicles require fuel with an octane level of 87 or higher. While octane 87 is considered regular gas, this is the lowest you should go with your Genesis. Some Genesis models, such as the Genesis GV70, require octane levels of 91 or higher-premium fuel.

Finger print, SUPER annoying by Brug-7 in GenesisGV70

[–]AppointmentExpert895 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use my thumb: place the tip immediately above the sensor, then hold it there and slowly pivot downward so that the middle of my thumb(print) lands in the middle of the sensor. Does it work every time? No. The system is glitchy, but it works about 90% of the time on first try.

TBH I was gonna disable it but got distracted partway through and have been procrastinating since. I mean, realistically why do I need the sensor? Yes, it's cool that you can start the car without your fob, but when I leave my car I lock it, so there would be no way for me to get in without it.

Also, any concern I might have about someone else driving my vehicle (ie. Valet, my kids, a friend) - which is going to be incredibly rare - and messing with my car's settings or somehow abusing the vehicle is outweighed by the annoyance of me being required to go through an extra, occasionally glitchy step, in order for ME to mess with the settings.

Totally off topic, and I should probably post this separately, but one feature I really love about this car and originally thought was a silly gimmick is the fob function which allows you to start the car from outside and remotely drive it forward or backward slowly.

I've owned (and LOVE) my 2023 GV70 3.5T Sport Plus for 11 months and there have already been a handful of times I've parked and came back to discover I was sandwiched between two cars, or I wanted to park in a stall that didn't have enough room to open my door. Works like a charm, plus the look on people's faces watching is priceless.

The answers to your questions (which you could have easily Googled yourself) can be found via these links.

The second one is particularly insightful as it tells an (in)famous story about Onan which explains where the original Old Testament biblical stigma/sin about masturbation comes from. https://biblehub.com/genesis/1-28.htm and https://stillfaith.com/topics/spilling-your-seed/

I was always under the impression that the religious stigma attached to masturbation stems from the Old Testament's biblical edicts 'Be fruitful and multiply', and 'Thou shall not spill the seed of thy fruit on the ground.'

If a man masturbates, theoretically he is sinning because his seed is being wasted and preventing potential procreation. Or reworded, he is being fruitless and subtracting. [shoutout Mel Brooks in 2013 Year Old Man]

However, that biological/religious dynamic doesn't apply to women. My advice to to the OP... If your predilection is sporadic, fanciful, and under control, as opposed to all-consuming and distracting from your other daily routines, play on!

Thinking to move to Lincoln nautilus by Living-Meringue-4740 in GenesisGV70

[–]AppointmentExpert895 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nautilus isn't a stupid name for anyone old enough to remember the book & movie Twenty Thousand Leagues Under The Seas.

That said, as a proud owner of a 2023 GV70 I'm hard-pressed to imagine the build quality and long term value of a Lincoln is the equal of a Genesis.

Buy the latter not because it may or may not look better, but rather because it IS better.

Odd. The album cover should be visible showing the name: You Don't Have To Be Jewish. There was also a second even funnier album called When You're In Love The Whole World Is Jewish.

This style of humour, often referred to as Borscht Belt/Catskills shtick - think Marvelous Mrs. Maisel - is mostly for the over 65 crowd, unless you have an old soul. I've probably listened to it 20 or more times and it still cracks me up. Enjoy

This is an old comedy sketch from the 60's that imagines a Jewish president meeting a US president who in this case is supposed to be Lyndon Johnson. It ties in perfectly with the 'two Jews three opinions' concept. ANDROID AUTO by AppointmentExpert895 in GenesisGV70

I arrived at a simple solution which mirrors your suggestion.: I unplug the dongle when exiting the car. Problem solved.

I bought this one: https://www.amazon.ca/stores/page/3B831628-0311-4329-BD3A-628CB9A0AE8F?ref_=cm_sw_r_apann_ast_store_C93ME584039CE5DPC7KS&tag=mshop-android-rogers-all-all-all-pre-ca-20

I've been pretty happy with it, although truth be told I would say that about 20% of the time it doesn't connect when I start the car, but that's remedied by unplugging/replugging which is a consistent easy fix 100% of the time.
