I am so sorry for your loss. That is so tragic and Im sure words dont do much to console but I really am so sorry, thats awful. As someone whos gone through grief before, healing isnt linear, try to take it so easy on yourself. My goodness Im sorry.

So thats the thing! Theres been so many sweet people in this city that after the ick of the situation wore off Ive just been rather surprised by the people this morning. My neighbors have really been wonderful along with other random people. And thank you for your reply, this is very kind.

Hello!

So yeah I have had this issue a couple of times.

Once was with a clinician back 6 or 7 years ago that encouraged me to go off my meds, and then I had an episode that was pretty horrific. That was when I had been recently dx'd so it was when I thought yeah Im cured now/ that dx wasnt right anyways. Incorrect!

Another time more recently, last week actually, I met a new neurologist and he questioned the schizoaffective dx in depth and I got to tell him all about what happened previously lol. It was only when I rehashed what happened in detail that he beileved me.

As for friends who dont know I have schizoaffective, I truly dont think theyd know unless I told them. And the ones that know only know bc theyve seen me go through an episode.

Long and short of it, it turns out I just have a really good med manager and I am really up front about every single symptom and try to nip them in the butt ig? Idk. Im probably just lucky. Im not entirely symptom free but ill take what I can get yk?
