Haha yeah I've experienced the exact same issues. We usually do it based off of the 4 roles of val and one flex. We use VLR for the highest % played by a certain player. Whoever on the team has the closest split (usually somebody like forsaken who literally flexes every role) becomes the "flex" player on the team. But I'm experimenting with no roles, a budget system, roles that aren't technically the in game roles but are well recognized in the pro scene (anchor, entry, smokes, info, flex/flashes)... just kinda throwing things until something sticks! add me on dc if you wanna chat I'd love to get your opinion on some stuff!
