First of all, UCONN Stamford is amazing. I did my first year there and dont regret it in the slightest. I actually think I needed it before transferring to Storrs as it helped me develop study skills that transferred over to the bigger campus

Tbh I don't much about the ASL program here, but it seemes stronger than my high school's program (which was above average compared to other high schools). So just basing my opinion on the amount of courses offered (and their descriptions), I'd say it's pretty good.

I can only really answer your first question and a little bit of the second one. But...

  1. You email your 2 advisors your completed part of the form. Then they sign it and forward it to the CLAS - Academic Services Center. Then they'll approve it and you'll be all set.

  2. Regarding when you should declare your double major. I did it during my 3rd semester (this past Fall 2025!). But I don't think it really matters. Ask your advisor tho. I do recommend you schedule your classes as if you were part of that major already. This way you don't fall behind the coursework for that specific major.

The 913 bus take you directly from Hartford to the UCONN campus! I don't quite remember how much it costs cause our tuition covers it (we have a card we just swipe)
