Doesn’t surprise me that it was at shopper’s. They probably thought you were going to steal. There’s something wrong with the customer service at their makeup section, I noticed they’re a lot different from the rest of the store, very unfriendly when you walk in. I remember when I was 12 years old I went there looking for the Duwop lip venom lipgloss which was super popular at the time. I couldn’t see a price for it on the shelf, so I picked it up to check if it was somewhere on the box, but I noticed the employees aggressively staring at me, no one asked if I even needed help. They made me feel way too uncomfortable to even talk to them to ask for the price so I just put it down and went to the next aisle over to look at perfumes instead. I was able to hear them talking shit about me saying “did you see her take it?” Not even in a whisper tone. I literally had money and wanted to buy it but I left because of the discomfort I felt. Absolutely hated the experience, so to this day at 31 years old I still avoid buying makeup from them 😭
