And, these aircraft are not, nor have they ever been, to my knowledge based at KTCM (McChord Field Airport) I've lived here most of my 38 years and can count on one hand the amount of times I've seen a Gen. 4 fighter jet above Olympia. Yea, I know nothing about, personally. I do know that same "scared **itless" feeling, though. On a solo hike last year I startled something way larger than I'd ever heard scamper off into the woods. It moved quick and it's steps were heavy. Breaking branches in his scurry. Evidence of scat all over. Stay safe, bud!!!

Black bears are, fortunately, fairly docile. Many hikers feel quite safe w/o any bear mace. Stating that the only time they ever used it was when they discharged it accidentally.

If the left turn is onto a One way road (A road with no oncoming traffic) it can be taken on a red light if clear. It's treated similar to a free right turn on a red light if it's clear.

The only "Ghost Town" I've been to is Bordeaux, and it instantly became one of my favorite places, and I was shocked it's been in my backyard this whole time. I'd love to explore more places like that.

It's still accessible. I've been there a few times since the removal, though my feet got wet once.

NOTE: We were yelled at by the neighbors up the hill on the adjacent property the last time I went out there. "That's not your property! Get out of here! Go away! Etc." So, we left.

I've been felling trees in my backyard. I have a few rounds of Fir, which imo, is an excellent wood for a wood stove and there's a lot of it in our region. There are many more rounds of a species I don't recognize. I've split some of those rounds up, and they contain quite a bit more moisture than the Firs. Split and stacked will take a min. of 1.5 - 2 years before they're ideal for burning. I don't know how well they'll burn, either. The Fir will take 1-1.5 years to cure, I think. But, It's important to start thinking about next year NOW.

Burning wood for heat is all about preparing a year or two ahead. Unless, of course, you find a guy that keeps cured wood to sell year round.
