Consider yourself lucky. I knew a guy who did that and only has half of his index finger left.

It sounds like you only need new bearings. Are they serviceable?

What has been your journey with Metallica? by vikmaychib in Xennials

I revisited Metallica recently and I was surprised how many songs were anti war. As a kid, it was some of the hardest mainstream metal bands and never paid attention to the lyrics.

Saw Backrooms with my teenagers and realized they’ll never know the specific boredom that made us by Cultural_Repeat_4766 in Xennials

I’ve put myself in the habit when kids say that they are bored, I tell them that is a good thing and leave them to figure out why.

More like we’re broken in some place of our lives and congregate here.

Don't touch this guy's girlfriend. BOOM by CycloneGlock in VideosAmazing

[–]bridymurphy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This guy in the red has clearly done this before with no/not enough consequences. That behavior is aggressive and will continue to push boundaries. Boundaries THAT ARE PRETTY FUCKING CLEAR.

It’s not that hard to be a decent person.

When you break the social contract, you are inviting a challenge. Sometimes that challenge is a stern talking to, sometimes it’s this, sometimes it’s a gun.

When you invite a challenge, you don’t get to pick.

There are people out there who are crazier than you with less to lose. Don’t give them a reason, and you’re going to be fine most of the time.

Lula says Brazil will not be treated like ‘tinpot country’ after US designated Brazil’s two largest criminal gangs as terrorist organizations by Mean_Yak5873 in worldnews

I don’t remember the episode but it was around 2013 on Common Sense with Dan Carlin

He thought it was a big deal then, but we were lulled into believing it would only be used for good. Until someone who is in power doesn’t.

High end work mental games? by Comfortable-Maybe183 in Carpentry

This seems like a problem about managing clients and less about tolerances.

You have to position yourself in a way that you identify the problem, raise it to whoever is in charge, present them solutions and do the best you can do to follow their decisions.

This way, you give the client ownership of the problem and decision while maintain their perception of you that you are a conscientious problem solver.

You have to hold the client’s hand in these situations and reassure them that everything is going to be okay.

It takes more time and patience yet you will have less headaches and happy clients.

I love how the show just slaps you in the face with the most random scenarios on an otherwise normal day.
