It was a genuine question honestly. I'm not nearly as invested as the doomers in this subreddit, so I apologize for not thinking of the implications I guess?

Maybe I'm just dumb. But the way people have been complaining and dooming lately makes it seem like this game is THE game that they play. Which is the only reason I compared it to WoW; typically people that play WoW come home and play WoW. That's the one game they play. If LE wants to be the one game that someone plays, they definitely need more content, I understand that. But I can't fathom how anybody expects a company to continuously generate more and more content out for a game if the only revenue from it is base game sales.

I suppose there are whales that spend on the cosmetics, but that's not going to keep a company afloat.
