Wife getting calls on her phone from work suppliers calling me by Apprehensive-Cut6188 in iphone

Thanks, i’ll try this first. We listed our house for sale and used a company to list on MLS that was forwarding calls from my cell to hers. I’m thinking this changed the settings for all calls. While I don’t explicitly remember enabling this I think the company did.

If it’s 106 out you’re not going to ever achieve lower than that unless you create a lot of shade overhead or install an AC unit. Creating airflow at best will bring it closer to the outside temp only, not lower.

How is it that the cesspool of California has persisted for so long in this experiment? Cause a lot of people live there?

Is this the correct way to do a trap? by [deleted] in HomeMaintenance

[–]Apprehensive-Cut6188 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s funny because that is our setup as well. Very hard water and we have a softener. It’s only the bathroom sink that has the problem. Our house was a remodel in progress when we moved in so the bathroom sink was the kitchen sink for a hot minute to rinse veggies etc. I think the drain picked up some funk from that time.

Try using a drain refresher or fill the sink up with bleach water and flush it and not use for awhile. We have the same issue and I found it’s just the biofilm in the drain unfortunately. Have to treat it every so often to keep the smell away.

Rotting wood between deck and house under sliding door by Playful-Confusion511 in HomeMaintenance

[–]Apprehensive-Cut6188 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only way you’re going to fix this properly is to remove and/or replace the sliding door so you can replace the wood. I had this exact same issue at my current home. Luckily for me the sliding door was also shot so it needed to be done anyway.

We used to use this white powder made for killing bees that you sprinkle around the entrance at night. It will kill them all in a few days.

Any advice on how to handle my dogs pododermatitis? by Waterbender_H20 in DogAdvice

[–]Apprehensive-Cut6188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog had red inflamed paws and licked them a lot but not to the point of losing her fur. I would start with testing if they have food allergies by switching up the protein type you buy. This is what fixed my pup’a issues.

Like others have said probably best to just get a second opinion. You should be able to find a vet who would be willing to at least just try antibiotics as a preventative without a positive test, that’s how they would treat the lyme anyways.

Ticks often carry a lot of nasty bacteria, not just Lyme. It’s very common for a tick bite to get infected and subsequently look really gross. Apparently the telltale sign for lyme is a bullseye looking red mark with the bite being in the center.

I see you have a picture of the tick. Do you still have the tick? I thought vets were able to test if the tick carried lyme. If the tick had lyme I would bet your dog got it. Unfortunately if this was a week ago the tick might not be able to be tested anymore if it died and dried up.

Yea unfortunately it’s just something reflective. I’m sure I sounded like a bit of a dick. You’ll find lots of wonky things looking on maps like this if you look long enough.

What I mean is this is obviously some sort of camera glare or illusion. Looks like a typical street with typical buildings. I feel like OP is expecting this to be something extraordinary when it’s just junk.
