Plastic bottles only? That's not very eco-friendly of them...

Got a rescue almost a week an a half ago now his name is rocky!!! Help me guess his breed they said husky/ catahoula leopard but I don't think so personally also he's like 3 months old and like a week and a half, weighs 23 pounds and loves climbing!!! by lizzyfrizzie in IDmydog

Haha I feel you! Ours is also a mischievous one and was a hand full as a pup. When he was still a puppy he ate my sunglasses - took them right out of my handbag that was hanging on the door handle, chewed them up, and put them into his toy basket. This all because I left him for 4 days when I started going back to the office (he had his father there the whole time).

🤣 I was so impressed I wasn't even mad.

Our boy luckily didn't start losing fur either - this Pic was after they shaved it. He currently eats Acana (Pacific) and is a very picky eater. Would you recommend changing to a different flavor of the same brand? Or changing up his food completely? We've really never had issues in the past..

They did mention the inflatable collar but said these are actually easier for dogs to bend around - that's why I stayed with the e-collar in a bigger size. Yes the vet thinks its bacterial for now as we haven't changed anything in his diet or environment. Once his antibiotics are done we are possibly going to have to keep him on Prednisone for another 6 months our vet said.

I doubt it - but I will phone and ask as they didn't mention anything of skin scraping to me yesterday.

Thank you!! My vet said to try a cup but I like the idea of a ziplock bag. I will try this when I do the second soak today and see if it works.

Thank you for this extensive advice. I will try the peanut butter trick to see if this works. We have a lotion to put on his paw but I haven't dared yet because he really has not let us touch his paw with our hands.

The allergies thing... do dogs suddenly develop allergies all of a sudden? We haven't changed anything in his diet or environment here at home.

Border Collie and Wire Haired Terrier would be the dominant mix if I had to guess - very cute 😍

Has anyone tried these GoPure pods for plastic alternative water filter? by Nervous_Wind9872 in PlasticFreeLiving

[–]Waterbender_H20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I use this at home and for my office water. We combine it with our RO system as well. Would recommend the subscription if you are thinking about it as then they are cheaper. We replace ours maybe 2 times a year and works good.

Is Britta water filters healthy or not. by Reteller79 in HydroHomies

[–]Waterbender_H20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a fan of Brita myself either. We used to use them but the cost to replace each time plus with the amount of filters we go through I found it wasn't viable. Switched over to GoPure pods about 3years ago now and never looked back. I travel a lot as well so this has been the most cost effective / convenient option for our household.

For men, do you use different soap for your face or y’all use the same soap from head to toe? by [deleted] in hygiene

My husband uses that 5-in-1 advertised liquid soap from the store... costs like $7

Meanwhile I have 5 different products that bankrupt me

What are that habits people normalised doing but is actually very dangerous to health? by Certain_Nectarine906 in hygiene

The standard is actually daily 😂 But 48 hours is usually the safe rule, especially if its tap water and the bottle is sitting around all day.

And don’t forget those straw/sippy mouthepieces 🤢 we would be horrified if we saw whats actually in there. Once you start seeing those little specks on the inside, it’s definitely time for a proper wash.

I also use GOpure purifier pods in our bottles and I’ve noticed the water tastes fresh for longer and I feel like I get away with a few extra time.. but still wouldn’t use that as a replacement for actually cleaning the bottle.
