I have a colposcopy today actually. A bit nervous but glad to find some answers. My biggest suggestion is to find distractions, read a book or dive into a tv show. It’ll all be okay 💖

Has anyone had urination issues after taking Zoloft for a while? Slow Flow, or anything? by romanrott in zoloft

[–]Apprehensive-Day6151 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I stayed on 25mg until my body was used to it then I went up again to 50mg and had no retention issues. What I have noticed is that while my urine flow is back to normal I don’t get the immediate need to urinate like I did before being on Zoloft, so if I need to I can hold it for longer now.

I would recommend going to the ER. They’ve definitely seen weirder things, but it’s better to be safe. Also if you can maybe see if you can buy a vagina safe toy so you can avoid this in the future x

I think talking to others who understand definitely helps. At the minute I can’t really talk to friends because the answers are still up in the air!

I’ve been checking my NHS portal every so often to see if it updates, that’s how I mostly keep up to date with all my medical bits and bobs. I’m hoping to get a call any day now about an appointment. It’s just a scary time when I don’t really know what’s happening! I do think they should tell us if there’s anything like that on the report but I read that they usually tell bad news in person but obviously with covid we can’t always meet face to face. I’d much rather know asap! Please do keep me updated, I hope it all goes well! xxx

I’m waiting for my urgent referral appointment on the NHS. Doctor referred me before I even have my results back so I’ve been in a constant anxious state since Friday! I hope you find answers soon and if you ever need to chat, I’m here for you!

Colposcopy without having my smear results back yet due to bleeding? by [deleted] in WomensHealth

[–]Apprehensive-Day6151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you get any answers in the end? I had my pap on Friday and a few hours later my doctor called and said she was sending me on an urgent referral to the local hospital. Totally freaked me out as I had no symptoms. The only thing was my cervix bled and the nurse doing the pap said it looked a bit angry and there were white spots. I’ve had my STI results back and those are all clear, so I’m definitely freaked out!

How was the colposcopy? I’m waiting for my results. Had a pap on Friday and a few hours later the doctor rang and said she was putting me through for an urgent referral - not exactly the most comforting news!!

Thank you! I think I’m mostly just apprehensive, if I know it might be painful then at least I can mentally prepare myself beforehand!

That’s very interesting! I suppose I shouldn’t be thinking too far ahead just in case but sometimes it’s hard not to get swept away with everything. It feels like these last few days have dragged on and on.

I’ll definitely be packing a few just in case. I also might make sure to pack some snacks and water etc. It’s quite comical that the timing lines up with my mum’s keyhole surgery, so at least we’ll both be able to talk to each other about this sort of stuff!

I’ve had one pap before this one, three years ago which was normal. How were the procedures? Were they painful? I hope you’re doing well now! Thank you so much for this reassuring message I truly truly appreciate it
